  • Publication number: 20150114336
Abstract: An oil filter and an oil cooler of a motorcycle combustion engine are disposed on an outer surface of an engine body side by side in a right-left direction. A first engine lubrication passage extending in the right-left direction is connected to an outflow passage for the oil cooler. A second engine lubrication passage is connected to the first engine lubrication passage, to extend frontward, and is disposed parallel to an inflow passage and an outflow passage for the oil filter. A third engine lubrication passage is connected to the second engine lubrication passage and extends upward from the second engine lubrication passage in front of the first engine lubrication passage.

  • Publication number: 20150110513
Abstract: In an image-forming apparatus including: an image forming unit which forms an unfixed toner image on a recording material; a fixing unit having a heat generating member which generates heat by power supplied from a commercial AC power source via a choke coil, the fixing unit heating the unfixed toner image formed by the image forming unit and thereby fixing the image to the recording material; and a control unit which controls the supply of power from the commercial AC power source to the heat generating member. The control unit supplies power to the heat generating member by control including phase control, during printing for performing an image forming operation by the image forming unit, and supplies power to the heat generating member by wave number control during standby for awaiting a print instruction.

  • Patent number: 8973919
Abstract: A double-feed detection apparatus includes a sensor configured to detect double feed of transfer materials conveyed along a conveying path, and a control unit configured to execute detection of the transfer material under conveyance plural times with the sensor, and to determine the double feed of the transfer materials based on detection results. The control unit determines a detection timing based on both a distance along the conveying path from the sensor to an image forming unit which forms an image on the transfer material and a length of the transfer material in the feed direction.

  • Patent number: 8571451
Abstract: An image forming apparatus is capable of more accurately detecting the relationship between an actual amount of color deviation and an estimated amount of color deviation. The image forming apparatus forms a color deviation detection mark at timing when the estimated amount of deviation reaches a threshold value. The timing is different from the timing when it is determined that it is necessary to perform normal calibration. The image forming apparatus determines the relationship between the actual amount of deviation of an image forming position from a reference and the estimated amount of deviation to set an estimating unit for estimating the amount of deviation.

  • Patent number: 7751732
Abstract: This invention has an object to process color balance adjustment at high speed in an image forming apparatus without depending on different feeding speeds for different printing materials. To accomplish this, an image forming apparatus of the invention detects color balances while a printing material on which toner patches are formed is fed on a second feeding path. Since images are formed on different types of printing materials at different feeding speeds, the image forming apparatus of the invention processes color balance adjustment at high speed without depending on the feeding speed at the time of image formation by switching the feeding speed on the feeding path.

  • Patent number: 7039337
Abstract: The invention provides an image forming apparatus including an image bearing member, a transfer member for transferring a toner image from the image bearing member, and a first contact portion and a second contact portion which can be mutually contacted for applying a voltage to the transfer member, the first contact portion having a convex portion, wherein the transfer member is pressed toward the image bearing member by a pressure exerted between the first contact portion and the second contact portion, and the convex portion has a hardness larger than that of the second contact portion. It is rendered possible to prevent an intrusion of toner or the like into the electrical contact portion, thus resulting in a contact failure.
