Abstract: Disclosed are an apparatus for controlling a container of a refrigerator and a method thereof. The apparatus comprises: a body having an upper cooling chamber and a lower cooling chamber having an opened front surface and separated from each other; an upper door for opening and closing the opened front surface of the upper cooling chamber; a lower door for opening and closing the opened front surface of the lower cooling chamber by being slid in a back and forth direction of the body; a lower container formed at a rear surface of the lower door to be movable in an up and down direction of the body and integrally slid with the lower door; a plurality of upper containers slidable in a back and forth direction of the body and formed at the rear surface of the lower door and at an upper portion of the lower container; and a control means for controlling the lower container to be lifted or lowered.

Abstract: An ice supplying device of a refrigerator is disclosed, which has a structure a container is easily mounted in a door, or separated from the door. The ice supplying device includes an icemaker for making ice with a cool air of a freezer; a container mounted in a door in perpendicular to the inside of the door, the door for opening or closing the freezer, and provided below the icemaker for storing the ice when the door is closed; a dispenser provided on an outer surface of the door; and an ice chute provided in the door so as to connect the container and the dispenser with each other.

Abstract: An icemaker for an ice supply system for preventing water from overflowing from the ice tray by vibration and/or shaking of the surrounding structure includes an icemaker, a container provided at a lower part of the icemaker and an ice chute for supplying the ice stored in the ice container. An ejector in the ice tray of the icemaker and a dropper device having an inclined upper surface at a side of the open top of the ice tray are provided for dropping the ice discharged upwardly by the ejector. An overflow prevention device is provided at another side of the open top of the ice tray for preventing water filled in the ice tray from overflowing. The overflow prevention device includes a panel extending upward from the ice tray and a cover coupled with the hinge at the top of the ice tray.

The icemaker produces the ice by using cool air of the freezer and drops the ice to a lower part of thereof. The container is provided at a lower part of the icemaker. The container is insertable into and detachable from the door of the refrigerator. The container includes an open top, a first opening at a side thereof, a transfer device rotating and transferring the ice of the first opening, and an outlet for discharging the ice. The crusher crushes the ice transferred by the transfer device and the ice discharger is provided for discharging the ice to an ice chute at the door by controlling a size of an opening of the outlet.

In the method, priority is assigned to a plurality of devices interconnected over the wireless network for securing wireless resources in accordance with application characteristics of a packet to be transmitted, and if the devices request communication, dividing at least one slot within a superframe into a plurality of minislots. Minislots are then allocated to the devices, respectively, according to the priority, and information about the allocated minislots is inserted into the synchronizing signal. The information is then broadcast, thereby allowing each of the devices with the allocated minislots to exclusively use the allocated minislot for data communication.

Abstract: A wireless communication apparatus and method for voice communications in the wireless personal area network. The present wireless communication apparatus and method is applied to a network environment to which plural devices are connected and which is synchronized by a synchronization signal broadcast from any of the plural devices. In such a network environment, the present invention includes allocating time slots for the voice communications between first and second devices of the plural devices, inserting information on the allocated time slots to the synchronization signal, and broadcasting the synchronization signal to the plural devices; sending and receiving voice data between the first and second devices to and from the allocated time slots; and releasing the allocated time slots if the sending and receiving of the voice data is terminated. Through such a wireless communication, the voice communications can be achieved in the personal area network environment based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard.
