Abstract: Voice processing methods and systems are provided. An utterance is received. The utterance is compared with teaching materials according to at least one matching algorithm to obtain a plurality of matching values corresponding to a plurality of voice units of the utterance. Respective voice units are scored in at least one first scoring item according to the matching values and a personified voice scoring algorithm. The personified voice scoring algorithm is generated according to training utterances corresponding to at least one training sentence in a phonetic-balanced sentence set of a plurality of learners and at least one real teacher, and scores corresponding to the respective voice units of the training utterances of the learners in the first scoring item provided by the real teacher.

Abstract: The toy grenade is provided with a non-destructive main casing. Smoke simulated powder is filled in a powder container in communication with a compression air cylinder. A plunger rod slidably mounted on a safety support in located at the top of the main casing. The plunger rod is operative by the removal of a pivot arm to release the compressed air from the air cylinder to force the powder to emit under pressure from two emission openings at the side wall of the main casing to provide simulation of the operation of a grenade.

Abstract: An internal circulation ball screw comprises a nut, a screw, a plurality of return assemblies, and a plurality of balls. The nut is threaded on the screw through the balls. An arc-shaped curving surface is formed on the edge of a tip of an outer thread of the screw and is to be connected to a return path of the return assemblies. The radius of the arc-shaped curving surface of the screw is between 9%-17% of the diameter of a ball, and each of the outer threads of the screw has three different curvature sections formed at the positions where the balls climb over, which are climbing curvature section, fillet curvature section and tip curvature section. By such arrangements, the internal circulation ball screw can allow the balls to move more smoothly and stably, and keep the balls from falling off or deflecting.

Abstract: A circulating member for a ball screw is disposed on a nut, the nut is formed with Gothic type threads, and the circulating member of the ball screw is formed with return path for enabling the balls to circulate. The connecting ports at both ends of the return path for connecting the threads of the nut are shaped in Gothic style, thus eliminating the level difference and consequently preventing the balls from being struck and jammed.

Abstract: A self-locking device for a table elevating screw includes a rotatable disk disposed on a screw having a nut thereon, a wedged body disposed on the rotatable disk, an outer cover moveably disposed on the rotatable disk and the wedged body and a stop plate disposed on the outer cover. When the rotatable disk rotates in relation to the screw in a direction or a reverse direction, the wedged body ascends or descends in relation to the rotatable disk, maintaining a gap between the stop plate and the outer cover or generating a frictional force therebetween. By means of the frictional force occurred when the screw rotates in a single direction, the self-locking device can achieve a precise self-locking device for the screw in a lifting/lowering positioning task.

Abstract: A toy grenade has a container enclosed in a casing consisting of two separable half oval-shaped casings. The container is filled with a mixture of powder and color dye and compressed air. The top of the container is normally retained by a spring biased elongated rod pressed down by a pivotal handle which is mounted by a removable pull pin. The grenade may be activated by removing the pull pin such that the elongated rod will retract to open the top of the container so that the compressed air will cause two casing halves to separate and the mixture of powder and color dye will spread in the air over the intended target area.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method for speech-based information retrieval in Mandarin Chinese, considering a monosyllabic structure of the Chinese language, and a whole class of syllable-based indexing terms, including overlapping segments of syllables and syllable pairs separated by a few syllables. The strong discriminating capabilities of such syllable-based indexing, terms have been verified. Special approaches for better utilizing such capabilities, including fusion with the word- and character-level information and improved approaches to obtain better syllable-based features and query expressions and so on, are disclosed too.

Abstract: A pedalling vehicle includes a main body, two control handles, two drive links, and a transmission link. The main body includes a front frame a front wheel, a rear frame, two rotation devices, two rear wheels, two cranks, and two connecting members. The rotation devices are connected by the transmission link through connection of the connecting members so that the rotation devices are rotatable synchronously and the rear wheels are movable with the rotation devices synchronously. Thus, the two rear wheels are turned synchronously by connection of the transmission link so as to turn and change the travel direction of the pedalling vehicle exactly.

As such, the recombinant cell lines and the subcultured offsprings thereof can be used via bioassay for the detection of dioxin-like compounds present in a sample collected from a natural environment, including: soil; water sources; edible meats, fishes, vegetables and fruits and the like; and flues, bottom ashes, sludge or the like in plants or incinerators.
