    Abstract: A scraping device for cleaning a conveyer belt, which has an upper forwarding section and a lower returning section includes an elongated positioning member and a plurality of scraping plates. The positioning member is mounted under the lower returning section in a transverse direction transverse to a longitudinal direction of the conveyer belt. Each of the scraping plates includes a mounting part mounted on the positioning member, and at least one web part having a free edge distal from the mounting part. The web part extends between the mounting part and the free edge, and is inclined with respect to the transverse and longitudinal directions. The web part further has a top scraping edge adapted to scrape the conveyer belt.

    Abstract: A non-integer frequency divider that is capable of dividing an original clock frequency by a non-integer number into a desired target clock frequency. By this non-integer frequency divider, a phase-shifting circuit is first used to convert the original clock frequency into a predetermined number of phase-shifted versions of the original clock frequency with a predetermined phase difference. Then, a plurality of edge-triggered clock signal generators are used to generate a plurality of edge-triggered signals whose rising and falling edges are synchronized with the original clock frequency and its phase-shifted versions. Finally, a synthesis circuit is used to synthesize the edge-triggered signals into an output signal serving as the intended target clock frequency.

    Abstract: A Mandarin speech input system and method for directly translating arbitrary sentences of Mandarin speech into corresponding Chinese characters is disclosed. The system and method comprises acoustic processing section and linguistic decoding section. The acoustic processing step employs "Segmental Probability Models" to calculate the probabilities of each of the mono-syllables in the Mandarin speech input and each of the tones thereof for further recognition. The linguistic decoding step employs "Word-class-based Chinese Language Models" to locate the corresponding Chinese characters for the series of recognized syllables provided by said acoustic processing step. A Mandarin dictation machine translates the provided speeches into characters in accordance with above method and displays the characters.
