  • Publication number: 20240255914
Abstract: In some examples, a management controller includes a first interface through which the management controller is to provide a support service for any of a plurality of programmable logic devices in an electronic device. The management controller includes a controller processor to receive a code image to perform a programmable logic device update, where the code image comprises an identifier of a programmable logic device. In response to determining that the identifier corresponds to a given programmable logic device that is present in the electronic device, the management processor sets a multiplexer select value to control a multiplexer to connect the first interface of the management controller to the given programmable logic device. The management processor provides the code image to the given programmable logic device through the first interface and the multiplexer to update the given programmable logic device.

  • Publication number: 20240259800
Abstract: An electronic device (such as an access point) that dynamically provides a reserve wireless local area network (WLAN) having a reserve service set identifier (SSID) is described. During operation, the electronic device may provide a WLAN having an SSID, where access to services in a network via the WLAN is gated by authentication performed by a computer. Note that the computer may include a controller of the electronic device or an authentication computer. When the computer is offline or communication with the computer is unavailable, the electronic device may dynamically provide the reserve WLAN having the reserve SSID, where access to a subset of the services in the network via the reserve WLAN is gated by second authentication performed by the electronic device. Moreover, the services may include sensitive (or more-secure) and insensitive (or less-secure) services, and the subset of the services may include the insensitive services.

  • Publication number: 20240257221
Abstract: An online concierge shopping system identifies candidate items to a user for inclusion in an order based on prior user inclusion of items in orders and items currently included in the order. From a multi-dimensional tensor generated from cooccurrences of items in orders from various users, the online concierge system generates item embeddings and user embeddings in a common latent space by decomposing the multi-dimensional tensor. From items included in an order, the online concierge system generates an order embedding from item embeddings of the items included in the order. Scores for candidate items are determined based on similarity of item embeddings for the candidate items to the order embedding. Candidate items are selected based on their scores, with the selected candidate items identified to the user.

  • Patent number: 12052681
Abstract: Determining a location of a user equipment includes transmitting, by one or more processors from a network node, a first beam having a first frequency range in a first area and a second beam having a second frequency range in a second area. The first area is larger than and encompasses the second area. A request for determining the location of the user equipment is received. The one or more processors may then cause the second beam to sweep within the first area, receive a second signal from the user equipment indicating when the second beam is swept over the location of the user equipment and data related to signal measurements of the second beam at the user equipment, and determine the location of the user equipment based on a pointing direction of the second beam relative to a position of the node of the network and the received data.

  • Publication number: 20240249333
Abstract: An online concierge system may receive, from a customer, a selection of an item that is associated with a first brand. The online concierge system may extract features associated with the customer and features associated with the item. The online concierge system may input the extracted features to a machine learning model that is trained to predict a degree of association between the customer and the first brand associated with the item. The online concierge system may identify candidate alternatives for replacing the item. The candidate alternatives may include a first alternative that is associated with the first brand and a second alternative that is associated with a second brand different from the first brand.
