  • Publication number: 20240306014
Abstract: The disclosure provides a method of operating a communication network. The method includes receiving input data related to a state of the communication network and operation of the communication network. The method then includes determining a policy for the communication network based on the input data. The policy is a set of features for forming a plurality of communication links in the communication network over a time interval. The plurality of communication links provides one or more paths through the communication network. Determining the policy is based at least in part on utility values of previous policies. The utility values of previous policies are derived using simulation and/or real-world implementation of the previous policies. The communication network is then operated to implement the policy in the time interval.

  • Patent number: 12079514
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for improved performance in a fragmented memory system are described. The memory system may detect conditions associated with a random access parameter stored at the memory system to assess a level of data fragmentation. The memory system may determine that a random access parameter, such as a data fragmentation parameter, a size of information associated with an access command, a depth of a command queue, a delay duration, or a quantity of commands satisfies a threshold. If one or more of the random access parameters satisfies the threshold, the memory system may transmit a request for the host system to increase an associated clock frequency. The host system may increase the number of commands sent to the memory system in a duration of time. That is, the host system may compensate for a slow-down due to data storage fragmentation by increasing the command processing rate.

  • Publication number: 20240289855
Abstract: A specific item is identified to suggest a replacement therefor to a user. A set of candidate replacement items for the specific item is determined. For at least one of the candidate replacement items, an expiration score is determined based on expiration information associated with the item. A replacement score for the candidate replacement item is determined by inputting the determined expiration score as a feature into a machine learning model that is trained using features of historical samples of candidate replacement items suggested as a replacement to users and the replacement suggestion being accepted by the users. One or more of the candidate replacement items is selected based on respective replacement scores as one or more suggested replacement items. A graphical user interface of a client device of the user is caused to display the one or more suggested replacement items as the replacement for the specific item.

  • Publication number: 20240281869
Abstract: An online concierge system allows users to order items from a warehouse having multiple physical locations, allowing a user to order items at any given warehouse location. To select a warehouse location for a warehouse selected by a user, the online concierge system identifies a set of items that the user has a threshold likelihood of purchasing from prior orders by the user. For each of a set of warehouse locations, the online concierge system applies a machine-learned item availability model to each item of the identified set. From the availabilities of items of the set at each warehouse location of the set, the online concierge system selects a warehouse location. The online concierge system identifies an inventory of items from the selected warehouse location to the user for inclusion in an order.

  • Publication number: 20240276052
Abstract: Embodiments are described herein for providing infrared (IR) coverage in a media system, IR codeset selection, and/or calibration of IR blasters. In one aspect, a triggering event is detected and an action to be performed by a device is determined. It is determined that the device is controllable using IR signals. An IR command signal including instructions to perform the action is transmitted to the device. In another aspect, a codeset is selected. A determination of whether a signature signal associated with a device indicates a state corresponding to a command including an IR code of an IR codeset transmitted to the device is made. If so, the IR codeset is associated with the device. Otherwise, another command including an IR code of another IR codeset is transmitted. In another aspect, an IR blaster is calibrated based on whether a signature signal indicates a state corresponding to a transmitted command.
