  • Publication number: 20250036574
Abstract: Aspects relate to rejecting a cache access packet using a mapping table. A cache has slices. An interconnect controller is coupled to the cache and coupled to a plurality of masters and configured to receive a cache access packet from a master. The cache access packet includes a first master identifier to identify the master, a first sub-cache index identifier to identify a slice of the cache, and an operation to be performed on the cache. A mapping table has master identifiers associated with sub-cache index identifiers and compare logic compares the first master identifier and the first sub-cache index identifier to the mapping table. The interconnect controller rejects the cache access packet in response to the first master identifier not being associated with the first sub-cache index identifier in the mapping table.

  • Publication number: 20250028485
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for improved performance in a fragmented memory system are described. The memory system may detect conditions associated with a random access parameter stored at the memory system to assess a level of data fragmentation. The memory system may determine that a random access parameter, such as a data fragmentation parameter, a size of information associated with an access command, a depth of a command queue, a delay duration, or a quantity of commands satisfies a threshold. If one or more of the random access parameters satisfies the threshold, the memory system may transmit a request for the host system to increase an associated clock frequency. The host system may increase the number of commands sent to the memory system in a duration of time. That is, the host system may compensate for a slow-down due to data storage fragmentation by increasing the command processing rate.

  • Publication number: 20250022024
Abstract: A system or a method for fulfilling orders using a machine-learned model in an online system. When a user places an order, the system accesses a model trained on historical data, including characteristics of candidate locations, previous orders, and recent inventory records. The model predicts the probability that each candidate location will incompletely fulfill the order. The system selects the location with the lowest probability of incomplete fulfillment and sends fulfillment instructions to client devices of available shoppers. After the order is fulfilled, the system receives data from the client devices of shoppers, identifies whether the order was completely fulfilled, and updates the machine-learned model based on the actual outcomes.

  • Publication number: 20250024308
Abstract: Techniques for selecting a wireless connection based on network metrics are discussed herein. For example, user equipment (UE) can be connected to a Wi-Fi network. The UE may test the Wi-Fi connection to determine metrics associated with the Wi-fi connection. The UE may compare the metrics to a speed and/or bandwidth threshold. If the Wi-fi connection speed is below a threshold, the UE may determine metrics associated with a cellular connection to determine whether to switch to a different cellular connection. If a first metric of the candidate cellular connection is above a threshold (e.g., a power level threshold), the UE can determine a speed or bandwidth of the connection. If the speed or bandwidth is above a threshold, the UE can attach to the cellular connection and can send and/or receive data using the newly established connection.

  • Publication number: 20250005072
Abstract: Machine learning techniques are leveraged to provide personalized assistance on a computing device. In some configurations a timeline of a user's interactions with the computing device is generated. For example, screenshots and audio streams may be saved as entries in the timeline. Context—the state of the computing device when the entry is created, such as which documents and websites are open—is also stored. Entries in the timeline are processed by a model to generate embedding vectors. The timeline may be searched by finding the embedding vector that is closest to an embedding vector derived from a search query. The user may select a query result, causing the associated context to be restored. For example, if the query is “show me all documents related to my upcoming trip to Japan”, the query result may open documents and websites that were open when booking a flight to Japan.

  • Publication number: 20240428309
Abstract: Based on logged information about prior events, an online concierge system generates a set of location metrics that quantify properties of locations such as retailers at which items may be acquired, and residences to which the items are brought. The location metrics can be used for a variety of purposes to aid customers or other users of the online concierge system, such as providing the users with more information (e.g., likely delivery delays) or alternative options (e.g., pricing options), or emphasizing options that the location metrics indicate would be of particular value to the user. To determine whether to emphasize a particular option, the online concierge system applies a machine-learned model that predicts whether emphasizing that option would effect a positive change in user behavior, relative to not emphasizing it.

  • Publication number: 20240428315
Abstract: An online system provides a platform for users to place orders at different physical retailers. When a user moves from one location to another (e.g., the user physically moves or is traveling), where the user's preferred retailer is not available, the online system suggests a new retailer for the user and optionally items to purchase at the new retailer. When a user accesses the online system from a new location, the system obtains the user's previous purchases and computes a repurchase probability. The system then ranks candidate new retailers in the new location based on their match to the likely repurchased items. To suggest new items to buy at the new retailer, the system uses existing replacement models to suggest replacements for the items that the user is likely to buy based on previous purchases.

  • Patent number: 12175525
Abstract: An online concierge system includes sponsored content items in an interface including different slots for displaying content items. A sponsored content item may be displayed in a single slot or in multiple adjacent slots. The online concierge system determines a content score for various sponsored content items indicating a likelihood of a user interacting with a sponsored content item and a position bias for slots in the interface indicating a likelihood of the user interacting with a slot independent of content in the slot. Position biases are different dependent on a number of slots in which a content item is displayed. The online concierge system generates a graph identifying potential placements of sponsored content items in slots by selecting content items in an order according to their content scores. Sponsored content items are positioned in slots according to a path through the graph that has the highest overall expected value.
