  • Publication number: 20230280191
Abstract: HIC-resistant materials may include sensors embedded within or otherwise coupled thereto for use in a hydrogen service environment. In an example, a diagnostic system includes a first sensor embedded within a structural metal for exposure to hydrogen for generating a signal response to both the hydrogen and one or more parameter. A second sensor is embedded within the structural metal for generating another signal response to the one or more parameter. A hydrogen-suppressing layer is provided to suppress any response of the second sensor to the hydrogen. A controller in communication with the first and second sensors distinguishes the signal response of the first sensor from the signal response of the second sensor to characterize the hydrogen and the one or more other parameter.

  • Publication number: 20230279555
Abstract: A coated structure may be formed with a hydrogen-resistant coating for use in a corrosive service environment. The structure may include a ferrous base metal with sufficient structural strength, despite being susceptible to hydrogen degradation in an uncoated state. A hydrogen-resistant coating is formed on the base metal without increasing a temperature of the base metal beyond a tempering temperature of the base metal. A preferred coating method is cold spraying. The cold spraying may be performed at sufficiently high pressures to achieve a low porosity without requiring a post-coating heat treatment that may otherwise reduce the strength of the base metal.

  • Publication number: 20230275926
Abstract: Platform-capability-policy profiles are pre-configured, pre-bundled sets of platform-capability policies. A user interface allows a user of a platform to select a platform capability-policy profile. The selected platform-capability-policy profile is applied to a subscription that is associated with the platform of the user. Then, platform capabilities of the subscription are managed according to the applied platform-capability-policy profile.

  • Publication number: 20230273926
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products are provided for efficiently storing multi-threaded log data. A method includes receiving multi-threaded log data comprising logs, markers, and thread identifiers. For each respective log, the respective thread identifier is set as a most recently used item in a thread reference cache. A respective log cache in a map data structure is determined based on the respective thread identifier. The respective log is added to the respective log cache. Whether to communicate the respective log and/or the respective log cache to a first repository is determined based on the respective marker. The respective log is communicated to a second repository. Whether to remove an oldest log from the log cache is determined based on a log cache size limit and/or a time limit. Whether to remove a least recently used log cache is determined based on at least one map data structure size limit.

  • Patent number: 11726514
Abstract: An active compensation circuit for compensating the stability of a regulator is provided. The active compensation circuit presents an equivalent capacitance and an equivalent resistance and compensates stability of system using the equivalent capacitance and the equivalent resistance. The regulator includes a power transistor that receives a driving signal and channelize the required current to the Ips driven by this block. The regulator's stability is compensated using the active compensation circuit to provide an accurate output voltage without significantly compromising the accuracy (load regulation) and area of the system.

  • Patent number: 11720594
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to synchronously replicating data in a distributed computing environment. To achieve synchronous replication both an eventual consistency approach and a strong consistency approach are contemplated. Received data may be written to a log of a primary data store for eventual committal. The data may then be annotated with a record, such as a unique identifier, which facilitates the replay of the data at a secondary data store. Upon receiving an acknowledgment that the secondary data store has written the data to a log, the primary data store may commit the data and communicate an acknowledgment of success back to the client. In a strong consistency approach, the primary data store may wait to send an acknowledgement of success to the client until it receives an acknowledgment that the secondary has not only written, but also committed, the data.

  • Patent number: 11658606
Abstract: An expandable and retractable photovoltaic structure includes a base that provides support to permit mounting of the photovoltaic structure solely from the base. Photovoltaic panels are arranged adjacently between the base and a lead element when the photovoltaic structure is in an open configuration. The photovoltaic structure is supported by scissor link mechanisms, coupled to the base at one end and the lead support element at the other end. The scissor link mechanisms consist of scissor links pivotally coupled together to form a moveable successive chain of the scissor links. The photovoltaic panels are attached to the scissor links, via side frames, so that as the lead arm moves away from the base the scissor link mechanisms expand to deploy the photovoltaic structure in an open configuration, and as the lead arm moves towards the base, the scissor link mechanisms retract the photovoltaic structure to place the photovoltaic structure in the closed configuration.

Abstract: The subject matter described herein provides systems and techniques to counter a high write amplification in physical memory, to ensure the longevity of the physical memory, and to ensure that the physical memory wears in a more uniform manner. In this regard, aspects of this disclosure include the design of a Flash Translation Layer (FTL), which may manage logical to physical mapping of data within the physical memory. In particular, the FTL may be designed with a mapping algorithm, which uses reinforcement learning (RL) to optimize data mapping within the physical memory. The RL technique may use a Bellman equation with q-learning that may rely on a table being updated with entries that take into account at least one of a state, an action, a reward, or a policy. The RL technique may also make use a deep neural network to predict particular values of the table.
