Abstract: A message filtering system is provided including a message management unit and a message monitoring unit in communication with the message management unit. The message management unit is configured to send and receive message over a network and to route messages to the message monitoring unit based on a message source, and the message monitoring unit is configured to parse the message and locate identifiers in the message and to re-route the message based on the identifier located in the message.

Abstract: A system and method for managing messages, such as, but not limited to, voicemails and text messages, is presented. For example, in one embodiment, the method includes identifying a caller associated with a message for a callee. The method determines whether at least one other new message for the callee is from the caller. In response to at least one other new message for the callee is from the caller, the method groups the message with the at least one other new message.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed invention include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for automating travel related features based on location information of a mobile device associated with a user. For example, in one embodiment, a computer executed method is disclosed for configuring an out of office auto-reply email message. The method comprises receiving an out of area message from a mobile device associated with a user; identifying a user associated with the mobile device; accessing an email account associated with the user; and configuring an out of office auto-reply email message based on configurations prespecified by the user.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system and method for configuring a communication device. In one embodiment, a method is presented that includes monitoring for a presence of at least one mobile device that stores a user profile. In response to the communication device detecting the presence of at least one mobile device that stores a user profile, the method retrieves the user profile from the mobile device. The method configures the communication device in accordance with the user profile.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system and method for managing events associated with the detection of wireless devices. The disclosed embodiments utilize a residential wireless access point for detecting the signal transmitted by a wireless device. A user configures a wireless device detection program to perform specified events in response to the detection and/or absence of a wireless device. The disclosed embodiments may provide home automation functions, home security functions, and/or provide child monitoring features.

Travel-related information associated with a location of the travel-related appointment is retrieved in response to identifying the travel-related appointment. The travel-related information including travel time information is automatically updated in response to determining there are changes to the travel-related information. The travel-related information is communicated to a user. The travel-related information is communicated again in response to automatically updating the travel-related information.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include a method of determining a particular communications device to signal in order to contact a user. The method includes storing a plurality of device locations in memory. The method includes determining a current location of a user or user device in response to receiving a communication request, comparing the received current location and one or more of the device locations, and selecting a particular communications device to route the communication request. A distinctive call forwarded ring signal may be sent to the particular communications device in order to indicate to the user that the call is intended for the user.

In certain embodiments, the user may be provided the option to purchase the program in the second format if the second format is not within the user's subscription.

Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, a system and method of filtering messages may be provided that includes receiving an SMS message intended for a recipient and receiving a user-restriction profile. The system and method includes determining whether the SMS message contains content that is indicated to be restricted by the user-restriction profile and, in response to the determination that the SMS message contains restricted content, delivering the SMS message to an authorized secondary receiver. Alternatively, in response to the determination that the SMS message does not contain restricted content, the SMS message may be delivered to the recipient.

Abstract: A method for monitoring the body temperature of a user of a wireless telephone includes detecting the body temperature of the user using a sensor disposed in the wireless telephone. A determination is made as to whether the detected temperature is within a predetermined temperature range. Abstract: A method for controlling a feature of a telecommunications device includes determining a proximity of a user to the telecommunications device by detecting the body heat of the user. The method includes storing a plurality of device locations in memory. Each device location is associated with a facility of the organization and is also associated with one of a plurality of communications devices. The method includes receiving a current location of a wireless device associated with the user, comparing the received current location and one or more of the device locations, and determining the distance between the current location and the one or more of the device. The method involves selecting the particular communications device to signal from the plurality of communications devices in response to the determined distance. Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed invention include a system and a method for displaying cellular caller ID on TV. In accordance with one embodiment, the caller ID information of a caller calling a cellular device of a subscriber is received at a mobile switching station. The caller ID information is routed to a cable head end. The cable head end transmits the caller ID information and television content to a home location associated with the subscriber for displaying the caller ID information on a television.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed invention include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for providing a larger display area for viewing pictures and/or videos on a communication device.
