Abstract: A system and method for providing call forwarding. Telephone information of one or more telephones assigned to a user may be stored, where the telephone information may include location coordinates (e.g., GPS coordinates). Telephone information, including location coordinates, of one or more telephones assigned to an organization of which the user is associated may be stored. The organization may be an employer of the user, for example. If call forwarding is enabled by the user, then a call to a wireless device of the user may cause a determination as to whether the wireless device is within a predetermined range of a telephone assigned to either the user or organization may be made. A distinctive ring may be generated to notify the user that a call forwarding call is being received.

Abstract: A method and system for generating meeting maker requests as efficiently and with as few steps as possible. Here, a software API or program automatically generates and populates a meeting maker request by using information already located within an electronic message, such as an e-mail, to compose the meeting maker request. One embodiment includes a method for converting an electronic message into a meeting maker. The method comprises receiving an electronic message. Meeting information is located within the received electronic message. Invited attendees to the meeting are determined based on information within the electronic message. A meeting maker request is automatically generated using the determined information.

Abstract: A system and method for collapsing search results. User input is received to perform a search of a communications network. The search results and multiple selection elements are displayed for removing each of the search results. A user selection of a selection element associated with a search result is received. A determination is made of irrelevant results that are similar to the search result. The search results are collapsed to remove the search result and the irrelevant search results.

Abstract: A method for storing data with a digital image comprises providing a digital camera for capturing and storing digital images, the digital camera having a controller, a storage medium, a data entry mechanism, and a positioning system. The method further includes the camera receiving direction from a user to capture a digital image and capturing and storing the digital image in response to the user's direction. Additionally, the positioning system determines location information corresponding to the location of the digital camera when the image is captured. The camera receives user-supplied data input to be associated with the captured digital image captured via the data entry mechanism and the controller automatically associates the user-supplied data input and the location information with the digital image and stores the data input, the location information, and the digital image in the storage medium as a combined data file.

Abstract: A system and method for projecting information from a phone. User preferences are received for projection. The user preferences indicate information associated with one or more types of communications. A communication is received. A determination is made whether the received communication is one of the one or more types of communications associated with the user preferences. The indicated information associated with the received communication is projected in response to the determination. The indicated information being projected by a projector integrated with the phone onto a display surface.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include a method for providing a user with a location of a caller associated with a voicemail message. In one embodiment, the method includes identifying the caller associated with the voicemail message. The method determines the location of the caller and associates the location with the voicemail message left by the caller. The method provides the location of the caller associated with the voicemail message to the recipient of the voicemail message.

Abstract: A telecommunications device and method for downloading content using Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) includes receiving a request for content to be downloaded using TDM. The content may be communicated in response to receiving the content request. In response to receiving a call request for use of a telephone line, a download status of the telephone line may be determined. If the download status of the telephone line is indicative of content being downloaded, the content may be suspended from being communicated to enable a call associated with the call request to be connected with the telephone line. Otherwise, if the download status of the telephone line is not indicative of content being downloaded, a call associated with the call request may be connected with the telephone line.

Abstract: A system, method, and hand held device configured for video conferencing. The hand held device includes display logic operable to determine that a communication includes displayable content. The hand held device further includes a projector in communication with the display logic. The projector is operable to project the displayable content onto a surface. The hand held device further includes a camera in communication with the display logic. The camera is operable to capture an image of the user. The displayable content and the image are utilized for a video communication.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed invention include a method performed by a conference server for providing caller identification information for a TDM conference call. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving a request from a host to set up a TDM conference call. The method further includes receiving host configuration parameters for providing the host with caller ID information of callers participating in the conference call. The method provides the host with a calling number for enabling callers participating in the conference call to call in. In response to receiving a call and caller ID information associated with a caller calling the calling number, the method connects the call to the conference call and provides the caller ID information to the host based on the host configuration parameters.

Abstract: A system and method for establishing connection of an IP telephone to a network may include, in response to receiving a registration request from an IP telephone, generating a command to cause network access devices to ping the IP telephone. The command may be communicated to the network access devices. Ping information may be received in response to the network access devices pinging the IP telephone. A network access device may be selected that has the highest quality network access path to the IP telephone. In response to selecting the network access device that has the highest quality network access path, a network address of the selected network access device may be communicated to a network device to enable the IP telephone to communicate with the selected network access device. Credentials may be communicated to the IP telephone to register with the selected network access device.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed invention include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for automating travel related features based on location information of a mobile device associated with a user. For example, in one embodiment, a computer executed method is disclosed for configuring an out of office auto-reply email message. The method comprises receiving an out of area message from a mobile device associated with a user; identifying a user associated with the mobile device; accessing an email account associated with the user; and configuring an out of office auto-reply email message based on configurations prespecified by the user.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed invention include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for providing a larger display area for viewing pictures and/or videos on a communication device. For example, in one embodiment, a communication device is disclosed comprising a plurality of display components for displaying an image that covers a plurality of sides of the communication device. In certain embodiments, a user specified image is displayed in response to receiving an incoming call for providing a more visible indicator for alerting the user of an incoming call.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed invention include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for enabling a user to participate in a videoconference. For example, in one embodiment, a video conferencing eyewear apparatus that includes a network interface for receiving a data stream from a video conference server, the data stream including a video and audio associated with a first party, and a shared presentation. In addition, the video conferencing eyewear apparatus includes a data storage component that stores computer executable instructions; and a processor that executes the computer executable instructions to display the video on a first display of the video conferencing eyewear apparatus; display the shared presentation on a second display of the video conferencing eyewear apparatus; and output the audio to an audio output component of video conferencing eyewear apparatus.

Abstract: A method according to the present disclosure comprises displaying a program in a first format on a first television channel to a user and automatically displaying a message to the user indicating that the program is available in a second format on a second television channel. The message may be displayed on the first television channel while the program in the first format is being displayed. Additionally, the automatic displaying of the message may be unprompted by the user. In certain embodiments, the user may be provided the option to purchase the program in the second format if the second format is not within the user's subscription.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing fraud protection for purchases of goods and/or services. Embodiments of the fraud protection systems and methods include communicating with the owner of the financial account offered to pay for the goods and/or services during the purchase approval process to obtain authorization for the purchase from the payment account owner. Other embodiments include sending text messages to the account owner's wireless telephone to approve purchases made over the internet Still other embodiments include sending encrypted messages to the payment account owner, while other embodiments include receiving encrypted messages from the payment account owner. Further embodiment include evaluating whether an online purchase is being made from an IP address associated with the payment account's owner.

Abstract: A system and method for communicating emergency communications from a set top box to emergency services may be provided, wherein the system and method include receiving a request to contact emergency services using a set top box. The request may come from a remote control or from the set top box itself. Emergency communications may further be communicated to emergency services.

Abstract: A system and method for reducing unwanted telemarketing calls may include storing a contact list for users of a telephone assigned to an associated telephone number. An incoming telephone call from a caller may be intercepted and a determination may be made as to whether the caller is in the contact list. In response to determining that the caller is in the contact list, the incoming call may be connected to the telephone assigned to the called telephone number. Otherwise, in response to determining that the caller is not in the contact list, the caller may be prompted with an audible message, and, in response to the caller responding to the audible message by entering a first response, the incoming call may be blocked from connecting to the called telephone. Otherwise, in response to a second response, the incoming call may be connected.

Abstract: A method for storing data with a digital image comprises providing a digital camera for capturing and storing digital images, the digital camera having a controller, a storage medium, a data entry mechanism, and a positioning system. Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed invention include a body heat sensing control apparatus and method for automating features of an electronic device based on detection of a user's body heat. For example, in one embodiment, a data processing system is disclosed having a heat sensing mechanism for detecting the body heat of a user. In addition, the data processing system includes a data storage component for storing computer executable instructions and a processing unit for executing the computer executable instructions for enabling a user to configure one or more functions associated with the data processing system that are triggered in response to detecting the presence or absence of the user within the proximity of the data processing system using the heat sensing mechanism.

Abstract: In accordance with the disclosed embodiments, a system and method is presented for providing online SMS games to any SMS equipped device without having to install any additional applications on the SMS equipped device. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving a text message from a SMS equipped device. The method sends a text message that includes a list of available online SMS games to the SMS equipped device. The method receives a text message from the SMS equipped device that indicates a selected SMS game from the list of available online SMS games. The method sends a text message to the SMS equipped device to initiate playing of the selected SMS game.
