  • Publication number: 20030200281
Abstract: A method for presenting text utilizing an information-processing apparatus which downloading the text from an electronic bookstore website. The text displaying in the character running mode so that only a part of the whole information is displayed sequentially on the display unit, and the user can easily read. The speed of the character running can be controlled by the user through pressing a scroll bar, or even paused by pressing a pause key.

  • Publication number: 20030136037
Abstract: An advertisement light box is disclosed. The light box comprises a main frame, a panel, a light guiding structure, a light guiding source positioning device. The inner side of the panel is provided with a locking hole and the four sides of the panel can be lifted or the entire panel can be lifted by means of the fastening of connection plate, and the light box is provided with a clip for easy mounting of an advertisement material, and the four lateral sides of the light guiding structure are provided with a light guiding source fastener which is an inverted U-shaped board directly mounted to the edge of the light guiding structure so as to prevent the light guiding board to deform or to prevent the light to leak, the interior of the inverted U-shaped board is provided with light tubes, and the inner wall of the U-shaped board is coated with a silver or the like material to provide good reflection of light.

  • Publication number: 20030046085
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for adding an information title containing audio data to a document. It provides a method for rapidly adding audio data to those data stored in a computer (PC or laptop) or PDA (Personal Data Assistant). The invention allows audio data to be recorded by an audio recorder and saved as an audio file after the information title of a document is opened. A link between the opened information title and the audio file is created, and an audio link tag is then shown on the information title linked with the audio data. The audio data can be easily retrieved by clicking the information title.

  • Publication number: 20020113238
Abstract: A TFT array structure comprises a Thin-Film Transistor, a data line, a scanning line, a pixel electrode and an auxiliary electrode. The data line is connected to the drain of the Thin-Film Transistor, and the scanning line is connected to the gate of the Thin-Film Transistor. The scanning line is oriented substantially orthogonally with respect to the data line to form a plurality of rectangular pixels in matrix. A predetermined electrode (source electrode or auxiliary electrode) is formed at the place where the pixel electrode is close to the edge of the data line, and that predetermined electrode is coupled to the pixel electrode and located at a mask on which the data line is located. It is also characterized that the capacitance-coupling effect generated between the pixel electrode and the data line is the same as that generated between the predetermined electrode and the data line. The performances of all pixels are uniform despite errors occurred during the aligning process on the pixel electrode.

  • Publication number: 20020109813
Abstract: A thin film transistor liquid crystal display. The display includes a first substrate and a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, an upper electrode, a lower electrode, and a plurality of polarizers. An enclosed space is formed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The liquid crystal layer is filled in the enclosed space. The upper electrode is formed on the inner surface of the first substrate. The lower electrode is formed on the inner surface of the second substrate having a narrow electrode and a pixel electrode beside the narrow electrode. The narrow electrode is coupled to a drain/source of a thin film transistor, and a portion of the pixel electrode is overlapped on the drain/source of the thin film transistor but insulated to the drain/source of the thin film transistor. The polarizers are formed on the outer surface of the first substrate and the second substrate respectively.

  • Patent number: 4034797
Abstract: A roll stand for use in the roll racks of a continuous casting machine is disclosed in which the distance between the rolls is capable of infinite adjustment and is remote-controlled. Through the use of screw jacks supporting the top rolls, infinite adjustment is attained within the upper and lower limits of the jacks. The system is remote-controlled through the use of hydraulic motors for operating the jacks. Positive locking of the rolls in position is achieved through the use of wedge-shaped tapered keys.
