Abstract: An integrated circuit having a memory capable of being tested protects data stored in the memory from being read out of the integrated circuit during testing. Data input during memory testing is internally compared with data stored in the memory. The integrated circuit also outputs the accumulated comparison results. The output comparision result also may differ from the data in timing. An input unit includes an external terminal and a plurality of buffers for controlling data input and output to and from the integrated circuit.

Abstract: A circuit for generating a pulse-like timing signal driving a stepping motor which is used to drive for example a magnetic tape to run in an audio tape or video tape recording and reproducing apparatus. A rewritable memory stores output pattern data and time information for generating the timing signal. This timing signal generating circuit comprises a rewrite control circuit responsive to an operation mode instructing signal, for performing a predetermined operational processing on basic pattern data and basic time information and storing the resulting output pattern data and uniquely related time information in the rewritable memory.

Abstract: An amplifier circuit having a differential amplifier, provided in a semiconductor integrated circuit is disclosed. The differential amplifier has one input connected to a reference voltage generating circuit. The voltage outputted from the reference voltage generating circuit includes a voltage fluctuation depending on the fluctuation in power-supply voltage Vcc. However, a fluctuation absorbing circuit comprising resistors 51 and 52, diodes 53 and 54, and a capacitor 55 absorbs the voltage fluctuation thereof. As a result, the change in offset voltage of the differential amplifier is prevented, resulting in an improvement of a power-supply rejection ratio.

Abstract: A circuit for providing a constant coloring current to a plurality of segment electrodes of an electrochromic display comprises a plurality of switching elements, say, transistors respectively connected to the segment electrodes for enabling the application of the constant coloring current to the segment electrodes, and an element for changing switching timings of the switching elements. A desirable amount of charge derived from the constant coloring current is applied to the segment electrodes regardless of the presence of the variations in electrical properties of the respective switching elements. In another form of the present invention, the changing element comprises a generator for generating a constant voltage, and a modifier for modifying a value of the constant voltage.

Abstract: An electronic timepiece comprising an electrochromic display device for digital information display. A detection means is provided for developing a detection output when power supply from a power supply source is initiated. The detection output is applied to a driver circuit of the electrochromic display device in order to bleach the entire display segments, thereby ensureing accurate information display.
