  • Publication number: 20030081222
Abstract: An interferometer or an interference position measuring device is constituted so that a low coherency light source (multi-mode semiconductor layer) or a plurality of light sources with different wavelengths are used as a light source, a light flux is split into two light fluxes in a light transmitting member, one light flux (reference light flux) is emitted to a reference mirror fixed to an optical head, and the other light flux is emitted to an object to be measured which moves or displaces, the respective reflected light fluxes are multiplexed in the transmitting member so that an interference light flux is obtained, a specified wavelength light is extracted by a wavelength selecting filter through which only a specified wavelength light transmits so as to be detected by a light receiving element.

  • Patent number: 6533860
Abstract: A method for preparing a green pigment composition in which a mixture of a halogen-free organic blue pigment material and a halogen-free organic yellow pigment material are subjected to an atomizing process. The atomizing process is desirably (1) a co-kneading process conducted in the presence of a grinding material, or (2) a process that comprises dissolving the above-mentioned blue pigment material and yellow pigment material in a strong acid to obtain a solution, and injecting this solution into water to obtain a re-deposited substance. The method prevents the “fogging” problem, and provides high quality green shade having simultaneously sufficient light resistance and heat resistance. The resulting organic pigment composition is excellent also in plastics coloring use requiring a heating process at higher temperature, and has high safety/sanitation property, and causes no environmental problem.

  • Patent number: 6529278
Abstract: An optical interference apparatus includes a light source, a beam splitter for splitting a light beam from the light source, a reference surface by which one split light beam from the beam splitter is reflected to propagate backward through the optical path. The light beam from the reference surface and the other split light beam (which emerges from the beam splitter, is reflected by an object to be detected, and returns) are combined by the beam splitter, and the combined light is used as interference light. The two split light beams emerge from the beam splitter as convergent light. An optical element has a function of converging a light beam or changing a divergent state of the light beam, and is inserted in an optical path of one of the split light beams emerging from the beam splitter. The convergent, reflected light beams are combined as spherical waves with curvature equal to each other owing to an effect of the optical element.

  • Publication number: 20020187303
Abstract: A honeycomb formed body is obtained by subjecting a mixture of a raw material powder and a forming binder to extrusion, wherein the forming binder is a mixture of a wax and a thermoplastic resin and the mixing ratio of the thermoplastic resin in the forming binder is 5 to 50% by weight. A honeycomb formed body having a partition wall as thin as 25 to 100 &mgr;m can be mass-produced efficiently without generating cracks or deforming the die of extruder.

  • Patent number: 6493170
Abstract: In an interference device, an elastic member elastically contacts a portion of an object to be detected. An optical probe is so constructed that light emitted from a light source is split into two light beams one of which is reflected by a reference reflecting surface thereof and the other of which is reflected by a reflecting surface formed on the elastic member, and both reflected light beams are mixed. In a sensor, an interference signal is obtained from the light mixed by the optical probe so as to obtain position information of the object to be detected from the interference signal. The reflecting surface on the elastic member is set to have a width substantially the same as a diameter of the other light beam to be incident on the reflecting surface.

  • Patent number: 6155857
Abstract: A connector for making electrical connection between electrical terminals held in each of a female electrical terminal member and a male electrical terminal member of the connector by mechanically connecting both the female electrical terminal member and the male electrical terminal member. Both of the female electrical terminal member and the male electrical terminal member of the connector are attached to solid structures directly, instead of being attached to tip portions of flexible electric cables extended from outside of the solid structures. The solid structures are parts such as auto-parts or a partial assembly composed of a plurality of the parts or a body such as a body of an automobile which are to be assembled together and which have a larger size than the size of the connector.

  • Patent number: 5957597
Abstract: A partial cutting unit 32 is for cutting only a print tape 28 of a laminated tape 24, that is, without cutting a release tape 14 of the laminated tape 24. A blade support base 35 is mounted on a pivotal pin 34, pivotable with respect to a tape support base 33. A pair of step portions 33a, 33b is formed in the tape support base 33, one at the tip side of the tape support base 33 and the other near the pivotal pin 34. This pair of steps 33a, 33b is formed with a height H2, which is slightly smaller than the thickness of the release tape 24. A leg portion 35a for abutting against the step portion 33a is formed in the tip side of the blade support base 35. When the blade support base 35 is pivoted around the pivotal pin 34 to close against the tape support base 33, the leg portion 35a at the front tip of the blade support base 35 abuts against the step portion 33a at the tip side of the tape support base 33.

  • Patent number: 5926276
Abstract: An optical displacement measuring apparatus including an afocal optical system within a plane containing paths of at least two light beams. The afocal optical system includes a first lens optical unit and a second lens optical unit having a focal length which is greater than the focal length of the first lens optical unit. The distance between a diffraction grating and the first lens optical unit is smaller than the focal length of the first lens optical unit. The second lens optical unit is a combination of a lens with a negative refractive power and a lens with a positive refractive power. Accordingly, the optical displacement measuring apparatus performs accurate measurements with a large measurement depth, even for the cases where an afocal optical system is constructed within a plane containing the paths of the two light beams and the working distance is increased without increasing the size of an optical head.
