Abstract: A process for finishing an end surface of a non-circular post is provided to obtain a good surface precision. The process includes the steps of providing a workpiece having a first end with a first end surface, mounting a filling block around the first end of the workpiece, and surface-finishing the first end surface of the workpiece and an extension end surface of the filling block, which are at least covered by an area bounded by a circular track, by using a cutter.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for protecting die corners in a semiconductor integrated circuit. At least one irregular seal ring having two sides can be configured, wherein the irregular seal ring is located at a corner of a die utilized in fabricating a semiconductor integrated circuit. A dummy configuration for stress relief can then be arranged, wherein the dummy configuration is located at the two sides of the at least one irregular seal ring, thereby protecting the corner of the die against thermal stress and the semiconductor integrated circuit against moisture and metallic impurities. The irregular seal ring can be configured to generally comprise a non-rectangular seal ring. The irregular seal preferably comprises an octangular seal ring.

Abstract: A presser foot coupler for a sewing machine allows effortless and quick mounting and dismounting of a presser foot onto the sewing machine. The presser foot coupler comprise a holding member having a receding coupling portion formed on the bottom and a sliding channel formed on one side, and a locking member slidably inserted in the sliding channel on the holding member so as to allow the presser foot to be locked in position with the holding member. To allow a presser foot to be mountable on the presser foot coupler according to the present invention, the presser foot should be formed with at least a projecting coupling portion on the top. The receding coupling portion on the holding member then allows the presser foot to be coupled to the holding member by inserting the projecting coupling portion into the receding coupling portion. Either the dismounting or the mounting is quite effortless and quick to do, thus allowing very easy replacement of the presser foot on the sewing machine.

Abstract: An automatically locking slider for concealed zipper, which comprises a slider body formed with a substantially Y-shaped guide channel for the fastener elements, separator being fixedly mounted on the slider body in a central position at the front end thereof, the member separator having a groove for receiving a resilient locking member which is coupled with a pull tab, whereby the resilient locking member can in response to the pulling force of the pull tab move back and forth between a normally automatically locking position and an unlocking position when the slider body is pulled.

Abstract: In a voice-controllable transceiver of a wireless intercom, the bias voltage for the condenser microphone is divided during transmission to give a current of 0.6 mA to 1mA. During reception, the driving voltage for the speaker is multiplied and rectified to a current of 1mA to 30mA. Both currents are used to charge a battery, resulting in a voice-controllable circuit having low power consumption circuit. The voice-controllable transceiver therefore does not require an external power source or frequent battery replacement.
