The data line driving circuit includes a potential control line to which a potential control signal is supplied, a third retention capacitor one end of which is connected with the data line and the other one of which is supplied with a potential based on the image signal, and a first transistor that is electrically connected between the other end of the third retention capacitor and the potential control line. The driving control circuit controls the potential of the potential control signal based on the brightness information.
