  • Publication number: 20040197629
Abstract: An electric power generating element for a fuel cell includes a positive electrode for reducing oxygen, a negative electrode for oxidizing a fuel, and a solid electrolyte provided between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The positive electrode and the negative electrode include a laminate of two or more electrode layers containing a catalyst. Each of the electrode layers has a thickness of 50 &mgr;m or less, and an adhesive layer is disposed between the electrode layers. In this way, it is possible to provide an electric power generating element for a fuel cell that can both thicken an electrode layer and achieve a porous structure and a structural flawlessness of the electrode layer.

  • Publication number: 20030113475
Abstract: After forming a primary powder bed at a toothed portion of an article, such as a gear or a spline shaft, by electrostatic powder coating process, the powder bed is removed from crests of teeth in the toothed portion by a specified thickness by scraping it off while sucking up the scraped powder. Next, the electrostatic powder coating process is performed again to form a secondary powder bed over the entire surface of the toothed portion. Then, the primary and secondary powder beds are melted or fused by induction heating to thereby form a coating film of a substantially uniform thickness.

  • Patent number: 5615726
Abstract: A casting mold includes a cavity formed therein, and an auxiliary mold projecting into the cavity. The auxiliary mold forms a concave portion in a cast product, and it exhibits a thermal expansion coefficient being more than a thermal expansion coefficient exhibited by a molten metal to be charged into the cavity. Hence, the auxiliary mold greatly expands thermally during casting, and it keeps the expanded state during the solidification of the molten metal. Accordingly, the casting mold can prevent the casting defects resulting from the shrinkage cavities from arising in the resulting cast products. All in all, the casting mold can obviate to give the auxiliary mold a tapered configuration, and it can reduce the after-casting machining allowance to be provided in the resulting concave portion.

  • Patent number: 4898935
Abstract: This invention relates to a method of producing sucrose fatty acid ester granules by the fluidized bed granulation and drying technique and consists in forming a fluidized bed comprising a sucrose fatty acid ester powder at a temperature not exceeding 60.degree. C., spraying the fluidized bed with an aqueous sucrose fatty acid ester solution having a concentration of 3-20% by weight, as a binder, and then drying the sprayed fluidized bed, to thereby cause granulation. In accordance with the invention, the disintegration of sucrose fatty acid ester granules during granulation and drying can be prevented and highly pure sucrose fatty acid ester granules can be obtained. The sucrose fatty acid ester granules produced by the method of the invention are incapable of forming a cloud of fine powder, and have very good dispersibility and solubility.
