Abstract: A method, system and article of manufacture are disclosed for configuring software application components. The method comprises the steps of developing a set of policy application rules, assembling unconfigured software components into one or more software applications, and applying said application rules to the unconfigured software components to configure said software components. In the preferred embodiment, the applying step includes the steps of passing the unconfigured software components to a policy rule engine, and using said policy rule engine to apply said application rules to the unconfigured software components to produce the configured components. In addition, the method may be done to resolve ambiguities in the software components. In particular, the application rules may be designed to resolve ambiguities in the application of these rules to the unconfigured software components. • Publication number: 20120042401
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for introducing a mutation into a gene, which comprises the following steps: a homologous recombination step of carrying out the homologous recombination between a target gene into which the mutation is to be introduced and a target recombinant vector, thereby substituting an exon in the target gene into which the mutation is to be introduced by a target DNA sequence in the target recombinant vector; and a mutation introduction step of carrying out the specific recombination between the target DNA sequence in the resulting target recombinant gene and a mutation introduction cassette of a mutation introduction vector carrying a mutated DNA sequence containing a mutant exon by the intervening action of Cre recombinase to substitute the target DNA sequence by the mutated DNA in the mutation introduction cassette, thereby producing a mutation-introduced gene into which the mutant DNA sequence has been introduced.

  • Patent number: 8112991
Abstract: A hydrostatic transmission includes a hydraulic pump, a hydraulic motor, and a center section. The center section is formed therein with first and second fluid passages connecting kidney ports opened at a pump mounting surface to kidney ports opened at a motor mounting surface. The first and second fluid passages include respective straight portions parallel to the pump mounting surface and the motor mounting surface. When the center section is viewed to face the motor mounting surface, the straight portions of the first and second fluid passages substantially entirely overlap each other. When the center section is viewed to face the pump mounting surface, the straight portion of the first fluid passage is disposed between both ends of the second fluid passage, so that the straight portion of the first fluid passage and the ends of the second fluid passage are aligned on a substantially straight line.

  • Publication number: 20110041193
Abstract: The present invention provides a genuine epilepsy model animal as an improvement over conventional epilepsy model animals which are socalled seizures model animals mainly causing seizure attacks to be forcibly induced. Also provided is a method that allows for easy identification of the recombinants. The model non-human mammalian animal for human epilepsy according to the present invention is a human epilepsy model non-human mammalian animal, such as a rat model, that has the same genetic defects as those in human epilepsy. The model non-human mammalian animal has a mutated gene obtained by introducing a genetic mutation to the non-human mammalian DNA of the ?4 subunit (CHRNA4) or ?2 subunit (CHRNB2) of the neuronal nicotinic acetylcholinergic receptor gene associated with human autosomal dominant nocturnal frontal lobe epilepsy, and by introducing a specific probe. The human epilepsy model non-human mammalian animal of the present invention allows for easy identification of the recombinants.

  • Publication number: 20100250226
Abstract: A technique for enhancing the execution efficiency of simulation of a hybrid system. A continuous system simulator receives a request for evaluation of an event generating conditional expression for an event to be processed by a discrete system simulator, from the discrete system simulator. The event generating conditional expression is evaluated by referring to the value of a first variable describing a continuous system. Until evaluation of the event generating conditional expression indicates true, the continuous system simulator repeats simulation of advancing the current time by a step time interval and evaluation of the event generating conditional expression. When evaluation of the event generating conditional expression indicates true, the continuous system simulator sends current time data and the value of a second variable describing the continuous system which is referred to by the discrete simulator, to the discrete simulator.

  • Patent number: 7712079
Abstract: A program editing apparatus includes a user interface control unit, a JSP analysis unit, and a split execution unit. The user interface control unit accepts an input of a split object instruction which specifies a portion to be split off from a JSP file to be processed. The JSP analysis unit determines an accompanying split portion which is split off together with the portion specified by the split object instruction. The split execution unit splits off the portion specified by the split object instruction and the accompanying split portion from the original JSP file. The JSP analysis unit analyzes dependence of variables and objects in the JSP file and splits off a copyable portion by copying. Thus, a program file after split is ensured to operate the same as the program file to be processed.
