  • Publication number: 20020002843
Abstract: The invention provides a method for manufacturing quartz glass large scale slab ingot in a flame hydrolysis reaction in a furnace, including the steps of rotating the furnace, depositing a fused silica on a furnace bed, and extending the deposit outwardly by heating and rotation of the furnace, thereby a quartz glass slab ingot is obtained. A quartz glass burner is installed at the ceiling of the furnace, hydrogen gas supplied to the burner is flowing down along the tapered wall of the oxygen chamber and being ejected into the outer casing part of the hydrogen gas is deflected to the center of the burner, and mixed with the oxygen just after the ejecton from the oxygen gas nozzles thereby the flame is formed smoothly and the thermal efficiency is improved, The flame becomes wide enough and the silica powder transported by the hydrogen gas is uniformly fused by the flame and heat capacity of the fused silica.

  • Patent number: 6334572
Abstract: A bar-code reader having a photoelectric conversion unit for converting reflected light from a bar code into an electric signal and a changing point detecting unit for detecting, from the electric signal generated by the photoelectric conversion unit, a changing point at which a white stripe is changed to a black stripe in the bar code wherein the bar code is read based on a plurality of changing points detected by the changing point detecting unit. The bar-code reader includes a determination unit for determining, based on measurement of a distance between changing points, whether a changing point is detected as a true changing point at which a white stripe or a black stripe is changed to a black stripe or a white stripe in a bar code or as a false changing point; and a correcting unit for correcting the changing point detected as the false changing point to the true detecting point based on the changing point determined as the true changing point.

  • Publication number: 20010042956
Abstract: A double feed detection method for detecting a double feed of a sheet-like detection object transported through a processing unit has an ultrasonic transmitter and an ultrasonic receiver positioned so as to sandwich a transport path along which the sheet-like detection object is transported so as to detect a double feed of the detection object. The double feed detection method has a step of forming a gap between the sheet-like detection objects where the sheet-like detection objects overlap when a double feed of the sheet-like detection objects occurs. Forming the gap between the sheets enhances an attenuation of an intensity of a response signal whenever a double feed occurs. As a result, a distinction between the intensity of the response signal when a double feed has occurred and when no double feed has occurred is sharpened and thus more easily detected, improving the double feed detection accuracy.

  • Patent number: 6222178
Abstract: A proximity sensor receives light beams reflected from a goods. A proximity sensor control unit determines that the goods exists when a light quantity of the reflected light received by the proximity sensor exceeds a determination threshold value. The determination threshold value increases as elapsed time since the bar code was read last time becomes longer, and, as a result, a detection sensitivity decreases. A CPU restores a duty of irradiation of the laser beam back to 100% and resumes rotations of a motor for driving an operation optical system when the proximity sensor control unit determines that the goods exists.

  • Patent number: 5930614
Abstract: A first conductor for a field shield and a first insulating film are sequentially formed in a predetermined shape on a major surface of a P-type semiconductor substrate through an insulating film. A third insulating film is formed over the semiconductor substrate so as to cover the first conductor and a second insulating film thereon. The third insulating film is anisotropically etched, so that a sidewall insulating film is formed on sidewalls of the first conductor. Second and third conductors respectively serving as gate electrodes of field effect transistors are formed through a fourth insulating film. n-type impurities are implanted into the major surface of the semiconductor substrate utilizing as masks the first insulating film, the sidewall oxide film, the second conductor and the third conductor and are diffused, to form impurity regions.

  • Patent number: 5896424
Abstract: An interference radio wave elimination device receiving input signals including desired radio frequency signals and interference radio frequency signals that interferences desired radio frequency signal, and then eliminates the interference radio frequency signals. First, an amplifier amplifies the interference radio frequency signal. A digital demodulator (17) demodulates the interference radio frequency signals amplified by the amplifier. A digital modulator (18) modulates the internal carrier signal to make interference radio frequency signals in a digital form by using the demodulated interference information. An adder (21) eliminates the interference radio frequency signals of the digital form from the input signals.
