  • Patent number: 6349348
Abstract: In a transfer using the SCSI, data transfer apparatus is disclosed which blocks of different sizes can be collectively transferred while preserving block information. Data of an amount corresponding to a length of the first block from the head is stored and the first block data is subsequently stored. When a data size is smaller than a specified size, the zero-padding is performed. Further, the data corresponding to a length of the second block is subsequently stored and the second block data is stored. When N blocks are transferred, the above processes are similarly repeated until the Nth block data is stored. The total number (N) of blocks which are transferred once is stored after the Nth block data. A plurality of blocks of variable sizes are continuously transferred while preserving block information.

  • Publication number: 20020019213
Abstract: A sitting position of a vehicle occupant in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle is detected, an outlet close to the sitting position of the occupant from plural outlets and is selected based on the detected sitting position, and air is blown out from the selected outlet toward the occupant's sitting position. Thus, since an outlet close to the occupant's sitting position is selected, it becomes easier for air to reach the vehicle occupant to sufficiently cool or warm the occupant with a small amount of blown out air.

  • Patent number: 6332101
Abstract: Disclosed is an off-line teaching method for correcting a robot model to be used in an off-line teaching system. Multi-point multi-attitude teaching capable of obtaining the best correcting calculation result of those obtained with a logical robot model as a correction objective is performed by using an off-line teaching apparatus (steps S1 to S5). Teaching data obtained in the steps S1 to S5 is downloaded from the off-line teaching apparatus to an actual robot as a correction objective (step S6). Subsequently, the teaching data is revised on the basis of a difference between an actual target point and an operation point of the actual robot based on the teaching data (step S7). After that, teaching data obtained after the revision is uploaded to the off-line teaching apparatus (step S8) to estimate and calculate a correction amount by using the uploaded data (step S9).

  • Patent number: 6330495
Abstract: The process effected by an application-deciding means as one of constitutive components of a display-processing means is used to start a teaching application corresponding to a robot model designated by using a coordinate input device, of a plurality of robot models displayed on a screen of a monitor to make it possible to perform teaching based on the designated robot model. Accordingly, it is possible to easily start the application corresponding to the designated robot model when the plurality of robot models displayed on the monitor are operated by using a keyboard or a pointing device (for example, a mouse).

  • Patent number: 6222693
Abstract: A re-recording/re-reproducing device cleans both the magnetic tape and head of dregs which cause errors in writing and reading. A magnetic head records and reproduces input digital data to and from a magnetic tape at a normal speed. When an error in writing or reading the input digital data is detected, the tape is moved to a position where the error is detected and the magnetic head re-records/re-reproduces the input digital data to and from the magnetic tape, but does so at a speed higher than the normal speed of recording/reproducing, resulting in the removal of the dregs from the magnetic tape and head.

  • Patent number: 6179706
Abstract: A seat air conditioner for a vehicle has a seat having a pad and a blower unit for forcibly blowing conditioned air toward the seat. The pad has an introduction passage for introducing blown air toward a surface of the pad, plural distribution passages communicating with and radially extending from the introduction passage and plural communication passages causing communication among the distribution passages. Each of the distribution passages and the communication passages is formed as a groove in the surface of the pad. Therefore, even when a passenger is seated on the seat, air does not stagnate but flows into the distribution passages extending outside a portion of the seat which contacts with the passenger through the communication passages. As a result, air is smoothly blown out from the seat, and the passenger immediately feels sufficiently warm and comfortable.

  • Patent number: 6105667
Abstract: An air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle seat includes a seat blower unit disposed in a lower side of the seat, and a seat duct for leading air from an air conditioning unit to the seat through the seat blower unit. In the air conditioning apparatus, it can be determined that heat load of a passenger compartment is decreased to a predetermined value based on an operation state of a unit blower of the air conditioning unit, and the seat blower is stopped when the heat load is decreased to the predetermined value. Further, the seat blower is turned on or off according to the heat load of the passenger compartment, so that temperature of the seat can be controlled within a predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 6078024
Abstract: An air conditioning apparatus includes a heating heat exchanger for heating air blown toward a passenger compartment using hot water as a heating source. A plurality of electric heating members are formed integrally with the heating heat exchanger, and electric power supplied to the electric heating members is controlled according a temperature of the hot water. Therefore, a number of the electric heating members to be operated is finely controlled according to the temperature of water flowing through the heating heat exchanger. Further, when a water temperature of the heating heat exchanger is lower than a predetermined temperature (e.g., 35.degree. C.), a water valve is closed to interrupt the flow of water to the heating heat exchanger, and a blower is operated. Therefore, a quantity of heat transmitted from the electric heating members to the water in the heating heat exchanger can be greatly decreased.

  • Patent number: 6072153
Abstract: An air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle includes a heat exchanger for heating air to be blown into a passenger compartment of the vehicle using hot water as a heating source, a plurality of electric heating members formed integrally with the heat exchanger, and a control unit for controlling electric power supplying to the electric heating members and an amount of air blown from a blower. The control unit controls the amount of air blown from the blower based on a heat-radiating amount from the electric heating members and a target temperature of air blown into the passenger compartment. Thus, even when number of the electric heating members to be turned on is changed, the temperature of air blown into the passenger compartment can be set to the target temperature by controlling the amount of air blown from the blower. As a result, the passenger compartment can be effectively quickly heated using the electric heating members.

  • Patent number: 6059018
Abstract: An air-conditioning case (2d) of a front air-conditioning unit (2) includes therein a branching duct (2c) for dividing the flow of the air-conditioned air to the seat (3) of occupants, and a cool/warm air switch (10) for switching the cool air (7) and the warm air (8) of the air-conditioned air and sending the resultant air to air supply ports (19). The air supply ports (19) are connected to the seat (3) by a single air duct (4). Therefore, the duct configuration is very simple. Also, the air duct (4) can be an existing one connected to the rear foot vent (30).

  • Patent number: 6027032
Abstract: According to the present invention, in a heating apparatus having a viscous heater using viscous fluid for heating cooling water, when an engine rotational speed is lower than a set rotational speed relative to a temperature of viscous fluid, a viscous clutch is turned on to transmit a rotational driving force of the engine to a rotor of the viscous heater. In this way, a shearing force is applied to the viscous fluid in the heat-generating chamber, and the circulating cooling water is heated by generated heat of the viscous fluid to improve the heating capacity. When the engine rotational speed is higher than the set rotational speed relative to a temperature of viscous fluid, a viscous clutch is not turned on. Therefore, the rotational driving force of the engine is not transmitted to the rotor of the viscous heater, so that the shearing force is not applied to the viscous fluid to prevent the oil temperature of the viscous fluid from increasing excessively higher than 200.degree. C.
