  • Publication number: 20090235290
Abstract: Disclosed is a slim-type high speed rotation optical disk apparatus having a turn table for loading an optical disk thereon. As compared with conventional ones, a brake pad is located near to the front end so that the brake pad comes into tight contact with a side of the tray's front portion when the tray is inserted. This reduces the noise and vibration of the optical disk apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20090235289
Abstract: In a prior art slim-type high speed rotation optical disk apparatus, the side wall of the bottom chassis is bent at a bending point toward the side of the optical disk according to the configuration of the corner air window section of the chassis. According to the present invention, this bent side wall is formed so as to have a first vertical wall which is adjacent to the bending point and a second vertical wall which is adjacent to and lower than the first vertical wall. This constitutes an L-shaped vertical wall in the air window section of the bottom chassis, resulting in reduced noise.

  • Publication number: 20080271062
Abstract: To prevent deformation of a chassis due to an impact force in an optical disc apparatus, there is provided a tray for inserting/ejecting an optical disc into/from an apparatus body, with the chassis connected thereto through vibration proof materials in plural portions in a surface opposite a disc placing surface. The tray has projecting portions projecting in a chassis direction in positions facing the chassis in peripheral portions of the plural connecting portions. The projecting portion is located at a position higher than a tray plane with which the vibration proof material comes into contact, and lower than the surface of a chassis facing the tray. When the vibration proof material is compressed and deformed due to the impact force, the projecting portion comes into contact with the chassis facing surface, to reduce the amount of deformation of the vibration proof material and thereby prevent deformation of the chassis.

  • Patent number: 6722761
Abstract: An inkjet recording device including a tank incorporated inside an inkjet recording head and divided into a large-capacity main chamber and first and second vertically-arranged needle-receiving chambers. Each needle-receiving chamber includes a connecting hole for communication with the main chamber and an opening for receiving a needle. First and second needles that pass through corresponding first and second resilient joints that seal the opening are inserted into the corresponding first and second needle-receiving chambers. The upper first needle is connected to a pump for discharging air through a first tube, and the lower second needle is connected to a main tank for supplying ink through a second tube. In each needle-receiving chamber, the connecting hole is positioned above the opening, and/or the connecting hole is made small. When the connecting hole is above the opening, the inkjet recording device reduces the tendency of ink to solidify near holes of the needles used to supply ink.

  • Patent number: 6648456
Abstract: To provide a printing apparatus enabling its ink supplying member connected to a liquid jet head unit to be prevented from breaking when removing the liquid jet head unit mounted on a head mounting member. When removing a liquid jet head unit mounted on a head mounting member, the liquid jet head unit held by a head holding mechanism is released after an ink supplying member connected to the liquid jet head unit is separated therefrom by a pipe-installing and removing mechanism. In other words, the ink supplying member is separated from the liquid jet head unit by the pipe-installing and removing mechanism while the liquid jet head unit being held in the head mounting member by the head holding mechanism. This means that the ink supplying member is not separated from the liquid jet head unit in the improper direction and leads to preventing the ink supplying member from breaking when removing the liquid jet head unit.

  • Patent number: 6567187
Abstract: A printing apparatus has high reliability both in manual feeding and in automatic feeding of a printing medium, and a feeding control method controls the printing apparatus. In the case of manual feeding of a sheet as the printing medium, the sheet is transported by an LF roller for an amount sufficient for feeding the tip end of the sheet to a discharge paper sensor located on the downstream side of a paper path with respect to a printing head. Judgment whether paper feeding is successful or not is made depending on whether the sheet is detected by the discharged paper sensor. On the other hand, in the case of automatic feeding using an automatic feeding apparatus, the operation of transporting the sheet to the discharged paper sensor is not performed. By this, in the case of automatic feeding, it becomes unnecessary to backwardly feed the sheet before initiation of printing so that the rotation amount of the LF roller is minimized.

  • Patent number: 6531695
Abstract: A scanner head cartridge is constituted by a lower case which houses optical parts required for reading and electrical parts required for image processing, and an upper case which can engage with the lower case to cover the open surface of the lower case, and a positioning guide means used upon inserting the cartridge into the carriage is formed on the surface of the upper case, that is opposite to the lower case. A scanner head cartridge is held on a carriage that moves an ink head cartridge of an ink-jet printer for performing recording on a recording medium, in place of the ink head cartridge, and can be commonly used using a common base unit even in carriages which mount different ink head cartridges and have different shapes. In addition, the scanner head cartridge allows easy adjustment of the optical system.
