  • Publication number: 20060203720
Abstract: A failure-recovery-information storing unit stores failure-recovery information in which a working path is associated with a backup path. A failure-occurrence-notification receiving unit receives a failure-occurrence notification indicating that a failure has occurred in the working path. A backup-path searching unit searches for a backup path corresponding to the working path on which the failure has occurred, based on the failure-recovery information. A path-switch processing unit carries out a path-switch process, in such a manner that the data to be transferred using the working path in which the failure has occurred is transferred using the backup path.

  • Publication number: 20060198695
Abstract: To provide a device and a method enabling a user to judge which route a path used at the present traces without being aware of whether the now-in-use path is a working path or a recovery path. A relay device positioned at a diverging node between the working path and the recovery path, when forwarding a message (e.g., a Path message and a Resv message each containing RRO) used for route trace, judges which type of path the path employed for forwarding the data at the present is coincident with and forwards the data to the relay device disposed on the in-use path, thereby actualizing the trace of the route used for forwarding the data at the present.

  • Patent number: 7076540
Abstract: A service assignment apparatus sets an appropriate service in a service-request-incompatible apparatus as a network element so as to guarantee the service in the entire network. A service-request-compatible apparatus processes a received network-service request, and provides a service. A network-information collection unit in the service assignment apparatus collects information on a service-provision state of the service-request-compatible apparatus. A target-apparatus determination unit determines a service-request-incompatible apparatus based on the collected information on the service-provision state. A service mapping unit determines a service which the service-request-incompatible apparatus can provide, based on the information on the service-provision state and information on the determined service-request-incompatible apparatus. A service setting unit sets the service in the service-request-incompatible apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7042882
Abstract: A layer-structured MPLS path is set up in a short time by using a minimum number of control messages. A relay apparatus acting as the start point of the highest-layer L2 path creates a label request message specifying the intermediate-point and end-point relay apparatuses for all the paths of all the layers, and transmits it to the end-point relay apparatus of the L2 path. At a relay apparatus permitted to use an already established L1 path, instead of requesting a label of the L1 path, the label of the already established path is inserted in the label request message. In response to the label request message, a label mapping message is transmitted and transferred to the start-point relay apparatus. With this message, each node determines the labels associated with it and transfers them to its adjacent relay apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20050237927
Abstract: A transmission apparatus which can enhance the transmission quality and reliability by establishing a recovery-path efficiently at a high speed for failure circumvention. A recovery-path request message control block generates, sends, and receives a recovery-path request message containing failure location information and recovery-path setup information. A label assignment message control block generates, sends, and receives a label assignment message. A setup label information generation block generates setup label information. A recovery-path label table management block constructs and manages a recovery-path label table. A failure detection block detects the location of a failure. • Patent number: 6930984
Abstract: In a network-device control system for controlling a network device such as a router, which is located between a communication terminal employed by a user and a server with which the terminal communicates, at a priority that has been set in advance for the user or for an application, an event notification device detects that a user has logged in to the communication terminal or that the user has launched a predetermined application from the communication terminal and reports the user identifier or the application identifier to a network-device controller. The latter acquires user priority or application priority on the basis of the reported identifier and, in accordance with the priority, controls the router on the communication path between the communication terminal and the server.

  • Publication number: 20030043745
Abstract: In a label transfer network, an ingress node positioned at an upstream side end of a partial section of a first data transfer path (old path) transmits a path modify request, and an egress node positioned at a downstream side end of the partial section returns a label allocation request on a detour path (new path) to the ingress node in response to reception of the path modify request for implementing partial path modification from the old path to the new path. This enables the partial path modification with only a node bearing relation to the path modification, thus shortening the time needed for the path modification and suppressing an increase in extra control traffic for a node having no relation to the path modification.

  • Publication number: 20030012189
Abstract: The same label value is assigned to all links configuring a connection in a network where an LSP (Label switched Path) is identified based on a label. Even when any one of nodes included in the connection is shortcut due to a change of route of the connection, a neighboring node to this shortcut node in the transmitting direction can receive, from a neighboring node to the shortcut node in the receiving direction, a packet having the same label value as a label value received from the LSR.

  • Publication number: 20020172150
Abstract: A transmission unit and a failure recovery method with failure recover functions, which use limited network resources efficiently. A label table manager manages a label table which associates incoming labels related to incoming transmission data with outgoing labels related to outgoing transmission data. Based on the label table, a transmission controller performs label-switching of transmission data. A path set-up unit establishes a loopshaped protection path that includes a part or whole of transmission links of an existing working path and would allow transmission data to flow in the opposite direction to that of the working path. When a failure occurs, a failure recovery controller changes the association between the incoming and outgoing labels stored in the label table and switches the failed part of the working path to the loop-shaped protection path, thereby restoring the label-switched network.

In response to the label request message, a label mapping message is transmitted and transferred to the start-point relay apparatus. With this message, each node determines the labels associated with it and transfers them to its adjacent relay apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6453349
Abstract: A network system comprising terminals and relaying nodes having a reservation message processing unit for transferring a packet wherein a packet receiving terminal 3 requests a reservation of network resources. The packet receiving terminal 3 transmits to a packet transmitting terminal 1 a request message in which a reservation request condition is stored in order to request a resource reservation, the packet transmitting terminal 1 having received the request message transmits to the relaying node 2 on the same route as the packet an acknowledgement message in which the reservation request condition is stored. Each relaying node 2 provides a resource reservation for the home relaying node according to the reservation request condition in the acknowledgement message and transfers the acknowledgement message to the same route as the packet.

  • Publication number: 20020099285
Abstract: It is enabled to integrate three-dimensional models, which are concurrently worked and created by Design Department and Production Department, to reduce a lead time. After the three-dimensional model created by Design Department is copied, a production shape addition flag is given to identification IDs (Nos. 16, 17) of parts to be added by Production Department to the copied three-dimensional model. Therefore, when the three-dimensional models of Design Department and Production Department are compared to find that they have the same identification IDs (Nos. 16, 17), it can be judged that they are parts added by Design Department and Production Department if a production shape addition flag were given to the identification IDs. And, according to the judged result, the identification IDs can be changed so that the identification IDs become different (the identification ID Nos. 16, 17 of the parts added by Production Department are changed to Nos. 19, 20 so to become different from the identification ID Nos.

  • Publication number: 20020097248
Abstract: A non-reproducible three-dimensional model is shown on a first window and a third-dimensional model which has a part to be deleted or modified is shown on a second window. A difference between shape data and reference data of a part which is non-reproducible among the components of the immediately preceding three-dimensional model and shape data and reference data of the part in data about the non-reproducible three-dimensional model is determined, and data missing from the shape and reference data of the non-reproducible part 13 is extracted. The extracted data is shown as character information indicating the cause of non-reproducibility on a third window. Thus, the cause of non-reproducibility is shown on the screen, so that a person not skilled can complete the operation to re-create a three-dimensional model in a short time and efficiency of the operation can be improved.
