  • Publication number: 20050104471
Abstract: This invention provides a rotary electric machine with a high productivity/maintainability. Since the shaft portion 43 or the stepwise drawn portion is formed with a flat face 47 perpendicular to the rotational axis, when the magnetic poles 42 are bonded to the rotor 40, an accurate gap control can be achieved by applying a certain pressure to the magnetic poles with a jig or the like using the perpendicular flat face 47 as reference, or by controlling the distance from the perpendicular flat face 47.

  • Patent number: 6826824
Abstract: A system and method are used to assemble and fill an embedded magnet type rotor. The system and method prevent rotation of the rotor core within a manufacturing device as the rotor core is being filled and the embedded magnets are magnetically orientated. The embedded magnet type rotor is made by a process in which resinous magnet is filled in slits provided in a rotor core. In one embodiment, a recessed portion of the core in a shaft hole is engageable with a projecting portion of a core pin of a metallic mold for use in filling the resinous magnet to prevent rotation of the core. Other positioning devices are also used to prevent rotation.

  • Publication number: 20040135453
Abstract: A rotary electric machine comprises a rotating shaft 7 rotatably supported by bearings 2, 3, a rotor 23 attached integrally with the rotating shaft 7, and a stator 5 arranged facing the rotor 23. The stator 5 includes a plurality of coils arranged substantially in a circular (annular) form in a rotating direction of the rotating shaft 7. The rotor 23 includes a circular-disc rotor yoke 26 made of a ferromagnetic material, such as iron. Depressed portions and raised portions 28 on a surface of the rotor yoke 26 facing the stator 5, except for the center portion, are arranged in a circumferential direction of the rotor yoke 26. N-pole magnets 29 and S-pole magnets 30 are alternately arranged in the depressed portions 27. Therefore, in addition to torque generated by the magnets 29, 30, reluctance torque is generated between the raised portions 28 on the rotor yoke side 26 and the teeth on the stator side 25, thus making it possible to increase the range of rotation speeds of the motor.
