Abstract: Provided are a core electric wire for multi-core cable that is superior in flex resistance at low temperature, and a multi-core cable employing the same. A core electric wire for multi-core cable according to an aspect of the present invention comprises a conductor obtained by twisting element wires, and an insulating layer that covers an outer periphery of the conductor, in which, in a transverse cross section of the conductor, a percentage of an area occupied by void regions among the element wires is from 5% to 20%. An average area of the conductor in the transverse cross section is preferably from 1.0 mm2 to 3.0 mm2. An average diameter of the element wires in the conductor is preferably from 40 ?m to 100 ?m, and the number of the element wires is preferably from 196 to 2,450. The conductor is preferably obtained by twisting stranded element wires obtained by twisting subsets of element wires.
Abstract: A gas generator includes a cylindrical housing including a top plate portion and a bottom plate portion, an igniter including an ignition portion charged with an ignition agent, and a fixing portion which is formed from a resin molding and fixes the igniter to the bottom plate portion. The fixing portion includes an annular wall portion surrounding an outer circumferential surface of the ignition portion. The annular wall portion has a lower cover portion provided as being continuous in a circumferential direction on a side of the bottom plate portion so as to cover the outer circumferential surface of the ignition portion as being secured to the outer circumferential surface of the ignition portion and an upper enclosing portion provided on a side of the top plate portion at a distance from the outer circumferential surface of the ignition portion.
Abstract: A power transmission apparatus with a centrifugal pendulum damper is realized, which can effectively suppress torque fluctuation and vibration noise of a vehicle while avoiding size increase of a centrifugal pendulum damper and deterioration of reliability of the centrifugal pendulum damper by high-speed rotation. A power transmission apparatus with a centrifugal pendulum damper includes: a centrifugal pendulum damper coupled to an input shaft through a speed-increasing mechanism configured to increase speed of rotation of the input shaft; and an engagement/disengagement mechanism capable of realizing and cutting off power transmission from the input shaft to the centrifugal pendulum damper.
Abstract: A toner set includes a white toner that includes white toner particles containing white colored particles, and at least one selected from a color toner that includes color toner particles containing colored particles and a transparent toner that includes transparent toner particles, wherein an average circularity of the white toner particles is smaller than an average circularity of either the color toner particles or the transparent toner particles and a small-diameter-side number particle diameter distribution index of the white toner particles is greater than a small-diameter-side number particle diameter distribution index of either the color toner particles or the transparent toner particles.
Abstract: An object of the disclosure is to achieve a stable display quality without an effect of variation in temperature in a display device including a display element driven by an electric current. The display device is provided with a thermistor as a temperature detector detecting an ambient temperature. A scanning signal amplitude controller changes the voltage level of a gate low voltage in accordance with temperature indicated by temperature data acquired by the thermistor. An in-panel driver controller gives, to a gate driver, a gate clock signal of which the voltage level on a high level side is set at the voltage level of a gate high voltage and the voltage level on a low level side is set at the voltage level of the gate low voltage. The gate driver outputs a scanning signal on the basis of the gate clock signal.
Abstract: A cutting apparatus includes a cutting unit configured to cut a workpiece held on a chuck table, and a groove detecting unit including a CCD imaging element photographing the workpiece held on the chuck table. An intermediate layer made of a material different from that for the load bearing layer is interposed between the segment layers adjacent to each other in the thickness direction of the core.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of producing cancer stem cells that comprises culturing a living cell population containing cancer cells in the presence of a gel substance to obtain a living cell population containing cancer stem cells, wherein the gel substance is a material that induces expression of osteopontin in at least a portion of cells contained in the living cell population. Moreover, the present invention relates to an agent for inducing conversion of cancer cells to cancer stem cells that comprises a gel substance that induces expression of osteopontin in at least a portion of the cells contained in a living cell population. The gel substance is a synthetic polymer gel composed of, for example, double network gel, PNaSS gel, PCDME gel, PA gel, RAMPS gel, PDMA gel or PAAc gel. The present invention provides means and a method that enable the preparation of cancer stem cells in a relatively short period of time and at a relatively low culturing cost without requiring expensive equipment.
Abstract: A method of determining a position of a focus lens includes the steps of detecting luminance values corresponding to a plurality of imaging elements which detect light via a focus lens while moving the focus lens, calculating a contrast value for evaluation of a focused state of a subject image on the basis of the detected luminance values corresponding to the imaging elements, specifying the largest luminance value in the detected luminance values corresponding to the imaging elements, specifying a range in which the largest luminance value is not less than a value which is determined in advance in a moving range of the focus lens and determining the position of the focus lens on the basis of the contrast value in the specified range of the position of the focus lens.
Abstract: A wireless detonator (10) includes a detonation side receiving antenna (11), a detonation side transmitting antenna (18), an initiator (14) and a detonation side electronic circuit. The detonation side receiving antenna (11) receives energy for driving the detonation side electronic circuit, a control signal and an initiation signal. The detonation side electronic circuit receives the energy, the control signal and the initiation signal via the detonation side receiving antenna (11), transmits a response signal via the detonation side transmitting antenna (18) and ignites the initiator (14) in accordance with the initiation signal. A response frequency of the response signal is set to be greater than or equal to 100 MHz and less than or equal to 1 GHz.
