  • Publication number: 20040030694
Abstract: Searching for information of moving image contents, a search information transmitting apparatus transmitting or receiving search information represented as a tree structure operates in the following manner, in transmitting or receiving the search information. Upon receiving the search information as an input, a search information analyzing unit (101) analyzes the input search information, and outputs a plurality of search information elements constituting the search information. A filtering processing unit (102) extracts, based on a condition set by a condition setting unit (104), two or more search information elements among the plurality of search information elements supplied from the search information analyzing unit (101). A search information reorganizing unit (103) generates a partial tree of the search information represented by the tree structure, based on the two or more search information elements extracted by the filtering processing unit (102).

  • Patent number: 6678326
Abstract: A motion picture coding and decoding apparatus synthesizes a lower layer frame at a certain time by using first component area information of a lower layer preceding in the time and second component area information of a lower layer succeeding in the time. For an area where the first and second component areas overlapped, or for an area which is neither the first nor the second component area on the lower layer frame, lower layer frames preceding and succeeding in time are subjected to weighted average for synthetisization. For the area corresponding to the first component area only, the lower layer frame succeeding in time is used, and for the area corresponding to the second component area only on the synthesized lower layer frame, the lower layer frame preceding in time is used, for synthesizing the lower layer.

  • Publication number: 20020190060
Abstract: An excitation coil is arranged so as to be opposed to a rotatable heat generating roller of a conductive material, and on a rear side of the excitation coil, a core of a magnetic material is provided. The core is composed of a central core that is formed continuously in a rotation axis direction of the heat generating roller, and a plurality of U-shaped cores arranged at a distance from each other in that direction. A high-frequency current is applied to the excitation coil so that the heat generating roller 1 generates heat by electromagnetic induction. An additional coil is wound around the U-shaped core. Both ends of the additional coil are connected to a switching unit. When the switching unit is brought to a connected state, under an induction current generated in the additional coil, a magnetic flux in a direction in which a magnetic flux of the excitation coil is cancelled out is generated, so that heat generation of the heat generating roller can be suppressed.
