    Abstract: A heat sink composed of a fin set and a seat and a method for manufacturing the same are disclosed. One side of the fin set is provided with a plurality of rail rods whose cross sections are of a hook shape. One side of the seat is formed with a plurality of slots corresponding to the rail rods. Thus the fin set and the seat can be assembled by engagement of the rail rods and slots. A press mold is employed to press the rail rods and the slots, thus the rail rods and slots are deformed to make the fin set and seat tightly engage with each other.

The bottom plate is punched by a mold so that the bottom plate is fixed to a predetermined position inside the ring body. The heat dissipating fins are inserted into slots on an outer surface of the ring body. After trenches between the slots are punched and deformed, the heat dissipating fins are tightly riveted by the deformed trenches.

    Abstract: A press fitting method for heat pipe and heat sink includes the following steps. a) At least a heat pipe and a heat sink conducting heat to the heat pipe are provided. The heat sink is one of a heat conducting plate or a fin module. The heat sink has a groove for receiving the heat pipe. b) The heat pipe is placed into the groove. c) An end of the heat pipe or the heat pipe under the fins is pressed by a press mold so as to be deformed and fit to the groove as one.     Abstract: In an embodiment of the invention, a slot is disposed at a side of a fin. Both sides of the slot separately extend two positioning portions. After a heat pipe is placed in the slot, a mold presses the fin to make the positioning portions bent inwards. The heat pipe is gripped by the deformed positioning portions. In another embodiment, peripheries of the positioning portions are formed into guiding grooves separately, and the mold is provided with two protrusions corresponding to the guiding grooves. The guiding grooves are inserted by the protrusions when the mold is pressing the fin. The part between the positioning portions and slot is inwards deformed to grip the heat pipe.

    Abstract: A manufacturing process of a high efficiency heat dissipating device includes a plate or cylinder base, and a plurality of fins assembled to the base. The base and the fins are made of aluminum. An oxide layer to improve heat radiating are formed to surface of the base or the fins by an anodizing process. A heat pipe is additionally arranged to conduct the heat from the base to the fins. Or, in a heat dissipating device consists of the heat pipe and the fins, oxide layers are formed to the surfaces of the fins by the anodizing process.     Abstract: A method for riveting fins into a bottom plate of a heat dissipating device is disclosed. A punching device has a plurality of weights each of which is formed as a thin sheet. The punching device is installed to a fixture; a plurality of fins are spaced with a predetermined gap; and a bottom plate is formed with a plurality of trenches for receiving the fins. The method comprising the step of: positioning the bottom plate at the fixture; inserting the fins into the trenches of the bottom plate; inserting the weights of the punching device into the fins so that each space between two fins has a weight; and punching a backside of the bottom plate by a puncher so that as the bottom plate moves; the weights collide with and deform portions of the bottom plate between the fins to rivet the fins into the bottom plate, firmly securing the fins in the bottom plate.
