  • Publication number: 20210321269
Abstract: Techniques for optimal device position for wireless communication are described, and may be implemented via a mobile device to identify an orientation in which to place a mobile device to achieve optimum wireless signal. Generally, the described techniques enable the mobile device to be dynamically calibrated for wireless communication by identifying signal attributes at multiple different device positions, and enabling the mobile device to be placed at a position that exhibits optimum wireless signal. Further, wireless tasks to be performed on a mobile device can be placed into a task queue and executed when the mobile device is detected at a location and/or position that exhibits optimum wireless signal.

  • Patent number: 11123438
Abstract: A linker peptide for constructing a fusion protein. The linker peptide comprises a flexible peptide and a rigid peptide. The flexible peptide consists of one or more flexible units. The rigid peptide consists of one or more rigid units. The flexible unit comprises two or more amino acid residues selected from Gly, Ser, Ala, and Thr. The rigid unit comprises a human chorionic gonadotropin ?-subunit carboxy-terminal peptide (CTP) bearing a plurality of glycosylation sites. The linker peptide can more effectively eliminate mutual steric hindrance of two fusion molecules, decreasing a reduction/loss of polymerization or activity resulting from improper folding of an active protein or a conformational change. On the other hand, the negatively charged, highly sialylated CTP can resist renal clearance, further prolonging a half-life of a fused molecule and enhancing bioavailability of a fused protein.

  • Publication number: 20210258087
Abstract: Techniques for process based antenna configuration are described, and may be implemented via a wireless device to identify different usage scenarios and to adapt antenna configurations to optimize wireless performance based on the scenarios. For instance, the described techniques enable a wireless device to be calibrated for wireless communication by identifying different obstruction states of a wireless device that correspond to ways that the wireless device is held (e.g., grasped) by a user in different scenarios. The obstruction states are then correlated to antenna positions in the wireless device to prioritize (e.g., activate) antennas that are relatively unobstructed, such as by activating unobstructed antennas and/or deactivating obstructed antennas. Further, calibration can take into specific processes (e.g., applications) and specific users to calibrate an optimize wireless performance based on ways in which a user typically interacts with a process.

  • Patent number: 11048470
Abstract: A device predicts when a user will have difficulty seeing user interface elements displayed on a display due to bright lighting conditions. In response to predicting that a user will have difficulty seeing user interface elements displayed on the display due to bright lighting conditions, the device changes a display theme for the user interface elements to a visually improved display theme. Furthermore, the device audibly plays back, via a device speaker, a readout of the user interface elements displayed on the display. The readout is an audible reading or description of the user interface elements displayed on the display. The device also optionally communicates with an additional device (e.g., a smartwatch or other wearable devices) connected to the device to cause the additional devices to also audibly play back, via a speaker of the additional device, the readout of the user interface elements displayed on the display.
