  • Patent number: 9337983
Abstract: The air interface between a first node and a second node will span a frequency bandwidth defining two distinct portions, and acknowledgement message transmission such as Hybrid-ARQ message transmission will make use of those distinct portions to distinguish ACKs from NACKs. In particular, ACKs may be restricted to being transmitted within one portion of the frequency bandwidth, while NACKs may be restricted to being transmitted in different portion of the frequency bandwidth. Consequently, when the first node transmits data to the second node and receives an acknowledgement message sent in response from the second node, the first node may determine, based on which portion of the frequency bandwidth the first node received the acknowledgement message in, whether the acknowledgement message is an ACK or rather a NACK.

  • Publication number: 20160121487
Abstract: Methods, devices, systems, and non-transitory process-readable storage media for guiding behaviors of robots within a deployment site by communicating updated instruction sets through beacon devices or other proximity mechanisms. In an embodiment, a processor of a beacon device may perform operations including presenting (e.g., broadcasting, rendering, etc.) an instruction set to a first robot, receiving an instruction set update from the first robot, modifying the stored instruction set with the update, and presenting the modified instruction set to a second robot. Similarly, a robot may be configured with instructions for executing a stored instruction set to cause the robot to perform various actions, generating the instruction set update in response to performing the actions based on an execution of the stored instruction set, and presenting the instruction set update to the beacon device. Robots may also be configured to configure and deploy beacon devices.

  • Publication number: 20160117847
Abstract: Methods and systems for measuring overlay error between structures formed on a substrate by successive lithographic processes are presented herein. Two overlay targets, each having programmed offsets in opposite directions are employed to perform an overlay measurement. Overlay error is measured based on zero order scatterometry signals and scatterometry data is collected from each target at two different azimuth angles. In addition, methods and systems for creating an image-based measurement model based on measured, image-based training data are presented. The trained, image-based measurement model is then used to calculate values of one or more parameters of interest directly from measured image data collected from other wafers. The methods and systems for image based measurement described herein are applicable to both metrology and inspection applications.

  • Patent number: 9326188
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating mitigation of interference using beamforming techniques are provided. In some embodiments, interference periodicity and interference duration associated with interference of a radar beam are used to determine an extent of time during which a lobe of a communication tower is to be modified in power, direction, or a combination thereof. Upon an occurrence of the extent of time, the lobe of the communication tower is modified in power, direction, or a combination thereof so that the lobe does not interfere with a radar beam emitted from a radar remote from the communication tower.

  • Publication number: 20160110438
Abstract: The subject disclosure is directed towards making cube data highly available and efficient to access by separating the read cube server from the processing cube server, on different physical machines. The read cube server may be mirrored, and the write cube server may be mirrored. When the primary read cube server is not operational (e.g., has failed) or is having its read cube synchronized, the read queries are handled by the mirror read cube server. When a processing cube server (or its write cube) is not operational, its mirror processing cube server takes over and performs cube processing operations via its mirror write cube.

  • Patent number: 9319948
Abstract: An LTE wireless access node selects a wireless access node based on Radio Access Terminal (RAT) measurements and subscriber wireless data scheduling weights. The LTE wireless access node includes a communication interface to transfer communications for a subscriber operating a UE. The communication interface of the LTE wireless node receives RAT measurements indicating individual RF signal quality for multiple eNodeBs from the UE. The communication interface of the LTE wireless access node receives subscriber wireless data scheduling weights indicating scheduling metrics for the subscriber operating the UE from the multiple eNodeBs. The LTE wireless access node also includes a processing system to process the RAT measurements and subscriber wireless data scheduling weights to select one of the eNodeBs. The communication interface of the LTE wireless access system further transfers a signaling message to the UE indicating the selected eNodeB.

  • Patent number: 9319997
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed for power control of uplink transmissions by a user equipment in a way that can reduce interference to neighbor cells. Various aspects of the disclosure decouple the power control for uplink data transmissions from the power control for uplink for a control channel transmissions. For example, one type of power control command may be utilized to control the power the UE utilizes to transmit data channels such as the DPDCH and/or the E-DCH (e.g., the E-DPDCH and the E-DPCCH). Further, another type of power control command may be utilized to control the power the UE utilizes to transmit control channels such as the HS-DPCCH. In this way, the uplink data channels, which can cause substantial interference to neighbor cells, can be power controlled by those neighbor cells to reduce that interference.

  • Patent number: 9311199
Abstract: Jobs submitted to a primary location of a service within a period of time before and/or after a fail-over event are determined and are resubmitted to a secondary location of the service. For example, jobs that are submitted fifteen minutes before the fail-over event and jobs that are submitted to the primary network before the fail-over to the second location is completed are resubmitted at the secondary location. After the fail-over event occurs, the jobs are updated with the secondary network that is taking the place of the primary location of the service. A mapping of job input parameters (e.g. identifiers and/or secrets) from the primary location to the secondary location are used by the jobs when they are resubmitted to the secondary location. Each job determines what changes are to be made to the job request based on the job being resubmitted.
