  • Patent number: 12222418
Abstract: A vehicle (AV) includes a radar sensor and a hardware logic component. The radar sensor receives a radar return from a driving environment of the vehicle and outputs radar data that is indicative of the return to the hardware logic component. The hardware logic component further receives data indicative of a velocity of the vehicle from a sensor mounted on the vehicle. The hardware logic component is configured to employ synthetic aperture radar (SAR) techniques to compute a three-dimensional position of a point on a surface of an object in the driving environment of the vehicle based upon the radar data and the velocity of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20240351608
Abstract: Various technologies described herein pertain to a radar sensor system that performs ego motion estimation. A radar sensor system can be utilized to generate an instantaneous three-dimensional ego motion estimate of a vehicle. The radar sensor system employs an algorithm that enables generating ego motion estimates for velocities of the vehicle that can be greater than, less then, or equal to the unambiguous maximum velocity of the radar sensor system. Moreover, a single radar sensor system of a vehicle can implement the approaches set forth herein and the techniques can be applicable regardless of modulation of the radar sensor system.

  • Publication number: 20230105684
Abstract: Systems and methods for calibrating a radar sensor based upon synthetic aperture radar (SAR) principles are described herein. A relative motion is induced between a radar sensor and a calibration target in the field-of-view of the radar sensor. The radar sensor receives returns from the calibration target. The radar sensor outputs, based upon the relative motion between the radar sensor and the calibration target, detections that are indicative of locations of points on the calibration target. A computing system generates calibration data based upon the detections, the calibration data comprising a correction factor between a position measured by the radar sensor and a corresponding true position of an object. The computing system programs the radar sensor based on the calibration data such that subsequent to being programmed, the radar sensor outputs detections based upon radar returns and the calibration data.

  • Patent number: 10366152
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for facilitating the process of undoing and redoing modifications that are made to content using an online content management system (CMS). As a user makes changes to content, such as by editing a webpage using a web-based CMS, a history of the user's modifications is generated and stored locally on the client. When the user invokes an undo command, the modification history can be used to determine a previous state of the content and restore the content to that previous state. Similarly, when the user invokes a redo command, the modification history can be used to return to a state that had previously been undone. In some embodiments, the process of undoing or redoing the user's modifications is selectively performed on either a client side or a server side of the online system, depending on the type of content that is being manipulated.
