  • Publication number: 20160237833
Abstract: A turbine blade having an airfoil and a fir tree root is disclosed. The fir tree root has a lengthwise direction, a crosswise direction extending between two lateral sides of the fir tree root, and a span direction extending from a root base towards an airfoil tip. The fir tree root includes a web interposed between each pair of at least two neighboring channels. For each web, a web-to-channel ratio with each of the two neighboring channels is chosen to be larger than or equal to 0.5 and is smaller than or equal to 0.85 at least at a position where the root width is a minimum load bearing root width in a load bearing section of the fir tree root. In another aspect, overall web-to-channel ratio is defined as a ratio between the sum of all web lengths and the sum of all channel lengths.

  • Publication number: 20160217116
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for facilitating the process of undoing and redoing modifications that are made to content using an online content management system (CMS). As a user makes changes to content, such as by editing a webpage using a web-based CMS, a history of the user's modifications is generated and stored locally on the client. When the user invokes an undo command, the modification history can be used to determine a previous state of the content and restore the content to that previous state. Similarly, when the user invokes a redo command, the modification history can be used to return to a state that had previously been undone. In some embodiments, the process of undoing or redoing the user's modifications is selectively performed on either a client side or a server side of the online system, depending on the type of content that is being manipulated.

  • Publication number: 20160197923
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a system and method for secure, uninterrupted operation of a mobile device. The method includes identifying, at repeated intervals, a voice of a device operator. The method also includes determining if the device operator is an authorized user of the mobile device based on the voice. Additionally, the method includes continuing an operation of the mobile device if the device operator is an authorized user. Further, the method includes interrupting operation of the mobile device if the device operator is not an authorized user.

  • Publication number: 20160169052
Abstract: A rotating gas turbine blade is disclosed which includes an airfoil with a suction side and a pressure side, the airfoil extending in a radial direction from a blade root to a blade tip. The blade tip includes a tip shroud, the airfoil having internal cooling passages for a cooling medium, which extend through the tip shroud. Outlet ports are provided above a selected internal airfoil cooling passage for the cooling medium to be ejected above the tip shroud in a direction of the blade's pressure side. Dust accumulation is avoided at the tip end of the selected internal cooling passage.

  • Publication number: 20160169006
Abstract: A rotating blade for a gas turbine includes an airfoil extending in a longitudinal direction and having a leading edge and a trailing edge, whereby the airfoil is bordered at its outer end by a tip shroud, whereby the airfoil includes two or more internal passages, which run in longitudinal direction and are separated by solid webs, and whereby a plurality of shroud fins is arranged on top of the tip shroud to improve gas sealing against a corresponding stator heat shield. The stability and life time of the blade can be enhanced by selecting a position of each of the shroud fins to be exclusively above one of the webs and/or a leading edge wall.

  • Publication number: 20150294423
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed towards systems and methods for flexible field mapping between disparate systems, which comprises generating a base mapping request comprising a base mapping between a source data object having one or more source data fields and a target data object having one or more target data fields and generating a field mapping request comprising a field mapping between a given source data field and a given target data field. One or more data items are identified from the target data object responsive to the base mapping request and the field mapping request. A combined request is then generated comprising the one or more data items responsive to the base mapping request and the field mapping request. The combined request is transmitted to a target memory. One or more tax values responsive to the combined request are subsequently calculated based on the one or more data items.
