  • Publication number: 20140334207
Abstract: A method, a computer-readable medium for controlling an electrical converter, and a controller are disclosed. The method for controlling an electrical converter can include receiving an actual switching state uk-1 of the electrical converter; determining a scenario tree for future switching states of the electrical converter based on the actual switching state uk-1, the scenario tree defining a plurality of future switching sequences, a switching sequence U being defined by a path from a root node of the scenario tree to a leave node of the scenario tree; calculating a weight w for a switching sequence by evaluating nodes of the scenario tree; and determining the next switching state uk to be applied to the electrical converter from a switching sequence with a best weight. The evaluation of the nodes can be performed by at least two processor cores.

  • Patent number: 8596786
Abstract: In addition to a first detector for capturing a potential movement field of the eye in overview images, a second detector is used to capture a particular section of the eye in sectional images. From a displacement between two overview images and an intermediate displacement between two sectional images taken between said overview images, the eye movement is determined by linking said displacements. The sections are preferably illuminated by coherent light such that interfering light diffused on the eye produces a patch pattern. Alternatively, the sclera of the eye is illuminated with coherent light such that light diffused on the sclera produces a patch pattern, of which a particular part is captured using a spatially resolving detector in sectional images, on the basis of which an intermediate displacement is determined.

  • Publication number: 20120254084
Abstract: A method and a device are provided for predicting passenger movement in airports. Based on movement characteristics such as walking speed class and one or more points of interest of an individual passenger that are preferred by this passenger, a path is predicted for this passenger through the airport from a check-in counter, via the points of interest, to a gate. With reference to the predicted path, an estimated time of arrival of the passenger at the gate can be predicted.

  • Patent number: 8215278
Abstract: An internal combustion engine having a cylinder, a fuel-supply mechanism, and an elastic connector for connecting the fuel supply mechanism to the cylinder. The connector has a first channel for fuel/air mixture and a second channel for combustion air. The connector has a first connection end and a second connection end at which the two channels open out. The two channels are separated from one another by a partition that extends in the longitudinal direction of the channels. The partition is twisted about its longitudinal central axis between the first and second connection ends to achieve a great elasticity of the connector. To produce the elastic connector, a respective core is used for each channel, and the cores are moved relative to one another to enable removal of the connector from a mold.
