  • Publication number: 20150066430
Abstract: A method of monitoring an operating parameter of an apparatus. The method comprises taking a measurement of the operating parameter of the apparatus on multiple occasions. The mean and standard deviation of a set of threshold determining values is then determined, the threshold determining values each being dependent on at least one of the operating parameter measurements. Thereafter an event threshold, dependent on the mean and standard deviation of the set of threshold determining values is determined. The operating condition value is monitored, where the operating condition value at any given time is dependent on at least one of the operating parameter measurements. Finally an event signal is generated if the operating condition value is in a regime beyond the event threshold.

  • Patent number: 8908147
Abstract: A method of determining an overlay error. Measuring an overlay target having process-induced asymmetry. Constructing a model of the target. Modifying the model, e.g., by moving one of the structures to compensate for the asymmetry. Calculating an asymmetry-induced overlay error using the modified model. Determining an overlay error in a production target by subtracting the asymmetry-induced overlay error from a measured overlay error. In one example, the model is modified by varying asymmetry p(n?), p(n?) and the calculating an asymmetry-induced overlay error is repeated for a plurality of scatterometer measurement recipes and the step of determining an overlay error in a production target uses the calculated asymmetry-induced overlay errors to select an optimum scatterometer measurement recipe used to measure the production target.

  • Patent number: 8881673
Abstract: An apparatus for the applying of refractory material in 360 degrees while the apparatus is raised or lowered vertically or inserted and retracted horizontally can apply a layer of material continuously on the interior surface of a hot vessel. Wet mixed refractory material is supplied to an applicator and pressurized air is supplied to the applicator so as to rotate a spinner head on the applicator. The apparatus includes a shroud around the housing of the applicator which conveys the pressurized air around the housing to cool the housing below the temperature of the vessel. Also described is a method of applying refractory material by a spinner head on the applicator in the form of a spray to hot metallurgical vessels such as the snorkel tubes of vacuum degassers and ladles.

  • Publication number: 20140277403
Abstract: Devices and methods for preparing a transcatheter heart valve system. The device includes a housing, sealing apparatuses and a port. The housing forms a chamber sized to receive a prosthetic valve and a portion of a delivery device. During use, the prosthesis is seated in the chamber, and the sealing apparatuses operated to seal the chamber about the delivery device. Air bubbles in a liquid delivered through the delivery device and to the chamber are removed from the system via the port, thereby flushing the system. Further, the device is manipulated to permit loading of the prosthesis into the delivery device in an air bubble-free environment.
