  • Publication number: 20200228609
Abstract: Systems and methods for building a device graph for cooperative device identification are disclosed. Various information is received at a computing system over a communications network, include information defining a relationship between (i) a unique identifier associated with a first device of a user and (ii) a unique identifier associated with the user, and information defining a relationship between (i) a unique identifier associated with a second device of the user and (ii) the unique identifier associated with the user. The unique identifiers associated with the devices are each mapped to the platform-wide identifier based at least in part on the unique user identifier. A device graph comprising a plurality of device nodes is constructed, with related device nodes connected by one or more edges. Nodes representing the devices are linked based on a relationship identified between them using the platform-wide identifier.

  • Publication number: 20200218495
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving playback statuses from a first user computing device and a second user computing device that are in a synchronous presentation session. Content presented on the first and second user computing devices may be determined to be out of synchronization. User behavioral rules associated with the first user computing device may be accessed. The user behavioral rules may be learned based on past behavior of the first user in the synchronous presentation session. A synchronization message may be generated to send to the first user computing device based on the user behavioral rules. The synchronization message may include instructions for the first user computing device to perform an action to cause the content being presented by the first user computing device to be synchronized with the content being presented by the second user computing device.

  • Patent number: 10708748
Abstract: Techniques to support emergency voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) calls are described. The techniques may be used for various 3GPP and 3GPP2 networks, various location architectures, and various types of User Equipment (UE). A UE communicates with a visited network to send a request to establish an emergency VoIP call. The UE interacts with a location server instructed by the visited network to obtain a first position estimate for the UE. The UE performs call setup via the visited network to establish the emergency VoIP call with a PSAP, which may be selected based on the first position estimate. The UE may thereafter perform positioning with the location server to obtain an updated position estimate for the UE, e.g., if requested by the PSAP.

  • Patent number: 10704399
Abstract: A hot gas path component of an industrial machine includes a cooling pathway. The component includes a body including an outer surface; a thermal barrier coating (TBC) over the outer surface, the TBC exposed to a working fluid having a high temperature; and an internal cooling circuit in the body carrying a cooling medium. A cooling pathway is in the body and in fluid communication with the internal cooling circuit. The cooling pathway includes a terminating end in the body and a length extending along and spaced internally from the outer surface by a first spacing. In response to a spall in the TBC occurring at a location over the cooling pathway and the high temperature reaching or exceeding a predetermined temperature of the body, the cooling pathway opens at the location through the first spacing to allow a flow of the cooling medium therethrough.

  • Publication number: 20200196298
Abstract: An external client requests the location of a UE using control plane signaling. The UE sends downlink location measurements, such as Reference Signal Time Differences, for a plurality of base stations (BSs) to a serving BS at a layer 1 or layer 2 protocol level and at first periodic intervals. The UE and the plurality of BSs send additional location measurements, such as receive time-transmission time differences, to the serving BS at second periodic intervals, which are longer than the first periodic intervals. The serving BS uses the additional location measurements and downlink location measurements to determine timing information, such as Real Time Differences, for the plurality of BSs. The serving BS determines the location of the UE using the downlink location measurements and the timing information at the first periodic intervals and sends the location to the external client using user plane signaling to reduce delay.

  • Publication number: 20200196101
Abstract: Methods and techniques are described for reducing end-to-end latency in a location determination of a user equipment (UE). Location requests from an external client for a UE may be supported using control plane signaling and may be performed only once or infrequently. Location reports to the external client may be supported with user plane signaling to minimize delay. A controlling entity for location of the UE may be part of a Radio Access Network (RAN) to further reduce delay and may be changed to a new controlling entity in the RAN and/or may reconfigure location measurements for the UE when the UE moves to a new serving cell or new serving base station.

  • Publication number: 20200194200
Abstract: A method for detecting a vacuum leak in a vacuum interrupter-based switching device. The method monitors current conduction across the contacts when they are open after a predetermined delay. The method detects current conduction across the contacts and adds a current conduction timer unit that accumulates current conduction time to an accumulated total current conduction time value if a magnitude of the detected current conduction exceeds a predetermined current value. The method reduces the accumulated total current conduction time value a certain variable or constant percentage of a predetermined timer value over a settable reset time if current conduction is not detected, and provides an indication if the accumulated total current conduction time value exceeds a predetermined current conduction time threshold.

  • Publication number: 20200191518
Abstract: A crossbow includes a rail assembly and a limb assembly that can be assembled together and disassembled from one another. A release member is rigidly attached to one assembly and a retention member is attached to the other assembly. When the crossbow is assembled the release member is in a retained position; when the crossbow is disassembled the release member is removed from its retained position. In a release position the retention member permits movement of the release member into or out of the retained position; in a retention position the retention member prevents movement of the release member out of the retained position. The release and/or retention members can be adjusted to alter the force urging together the rail and limb assemblies. The retention member can be moved between the release and retention positions without using any tool.
