Abstract: An optical communication system includes a co-packaged optical module and a heatsink mounted to the co-packaged optical module. The co-packaged optical module includes a processor disposed on a substrate and a plurality of light engines disposed at different locations around the processor on the substrate. The processor and the light engines generating different amounts of heat during operation. The heatsink includes a plurality of heat pipes non-uniformly distributed throughout the heatsink to remove the different amounts of heat generated at a location of the processor and respective locations of the different ones of the light engines.

Abstract: A comfort harness for an orthotic brace being fully adjustable and having a crescent-shaped pad located about the front shoulder of a user for dispersing a load and for added comfort for the user. Multiple straps are provided for upper back, under arm, and cross-body support for the user. The comfort harness configured to connect with a variety of orthotics for an arm, a shoulder, and the like. In some cases, the comfort harness is capable of being donned and adjusted by the user when in a supine position.

The opening can be sealed by a spout adapter, the spout adapter having a spout channel extending between the internal reservoir and a spout opening, smaller than the opening of the canister. The spout opening may be sealed with a cap having a magnetic top surface, and the spout adapter may be further removably coupled to a lid that may be used as a cup into which a volume of the liquid can be poured.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method are provided for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system air filter for a building ventilation system. The HVAC system air filter comprises a supportive frame configured to orient the HVAC system air filter within the building ventilation system. A composite filter medium retained within the supportive frame comprises a cotton gauze portion and an electrostatic portion. The cotton gauze portion is configured for treatment with a filter oil composition to enhance airflow and filtration of air flowing through the composite filter medium. The electrostatic portion is configured to electrostatically attract and agglomerate airborne molecular contaminants and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) as small as 0.001 microns in diameter. In some embodiments, the composite filter medium comprises substances configured to release a fragrance into air passing through the composite filter medium.

Abstract: This disclosure describes a system for fulfilling items at a materials handling facility. In some instances, a predicted items list that identifies items that are likely to be picked by a user are determined and, when the user arrives at the materials handling facility, those predicted items are presented to the user for selection. For example, predicted items may be determined and an inventory holder that holds one or more of those predicted items may be retrieved by a mobile drive unit (such as a Kiva mobile drive unit) and presented to the user at a retrieval area. The user may pick the items they desire from the presented inventory holder.

Scored open shifts are assembled into a suggested schedule by iteratively selecting the top open shifts for the top schedule days while verifying that the schedule meets regulatory or preference constraints. The self-schedule suggestions are presented to a user, and a user can accept or reject the suggestions. Rejecting suggestions can cause the regeneration of schedule suggestions using different shift features.
