  • Patent number: 9057640
Abstract: A system and apparatus for preparing bulk quantities of dry colorant or pigment for blending with mortar are described. The system mixes pigments of black, red, white and yellow to prepare a batch of the dry colorant having a particular color. The pigments or dry colorant are generally a powder of metal oxide crystals. The system includes pigment dispensers, wherein each pigment dispenser includes a tote that is in flowing communication with a valve. A receptacle receives pigments from the exit opening of the vibratory trays. A control unit serially operates the vibratory trays to dispense the pigment from each tote. A scale measures the weight of the pigments in the receptacle. The scale is in operational communication with the control unit.

  • Patent number: 7373881
Abstract: Systems and methods for modifying, altering, constructing, or retrofitting an existing newspaper press having a first cut-off length, to have a second cut-off length which is different from and generally less than the first. These systems and methods generally provide for the machining of new bore holes into the existing press unit frame. The new bore holes will generally completely encompass the old bore holes and allow for linear translation of the axes of rotation of the new cylinders relative to the positions of the axes for the old cylinders.

  • Publication number: 20080019517
Abstract: An apparatus may include circuitry, a cryptographic module, and a key store. The circuitry may hold a private key associated with first media information. The cryptographic module may operate on the private key to generate a number of first control keys for decrypting the first media information. The key store may hold the number of first control keys from the cryptographic module. In some implementations, the key store may include sufficient storage to store more than one control key from each of a number of different crypto modules. In some implementations, the key store may receive multiple control keys simultaneously or nearly so. In some implementations, the key store may output multiple control keys simultaneously, or nearly so, for decrypting multiple streams of media information at the same time.

  • Publication number: 20060235710
Abstract: The preferred embodiment of the present invention is directed to a method of operating an online rental program by a rental retailer. Specifically, rental items are delivered to a subscriber via an independent mail carrier such as the United States Postal Service, wherein a rental item is sent to a subscriber along with a return mailing envelope that includes a return mailing label for mailing the rental back to the rental retailer. In accordance with the preferred embodiment, the return mailing label includes a mailing code that can be scanned by the independent mail carrier for purposes of informing the rental retailer, upon receiving the return envelope at a receiving facility of the independent mail carrier, that a rental item has been received and is being delivered back to the rental retailer. Once the rental retailer receives confirmation from the independent mail carrier that a rental item is being mailed back from a subscriber, the rental retailer sends out a next rental item to the subscriber.
