Processing means (53) detect a request to display 2D video data on the 3D display, while the 3D display is operative in the 3D mode, and, in response to the detection, the generating means are set to generate the pseudo 2D display signal for maintaining the 3D mode of the 3D display.

    Abstract: A device and method process graphics to be overlayed over video for three-dimensional display. The video includes a series of video frames updated at a video rate, including main video frames and additional video frames. A first buffer buffers a first part of the overlay information to be overlayed over the main video frames. A second buffer buffers a second part of the overlay information to be overlayed over the additional video frames. For each video frame, the first part of the overlay information or the second part of the overlay information is copied to a frame-accurate area copier. The first part of the overlay information or the second part of the overlay information is output according to whether a current video frame is a main video frame or an additional video frame. The first part of the overlay information and the second part of the overlay information are updated at an overlay rate. The overlay rate is different than the video rate.

    Abstract: Disclosed are methods and apparatus for lighting control. For example, a user may commission a touch-controlled luminaire (106) to emit light output having various lighting properties dependent on a manner in which the touch-controlled luminaire is touched subsequently. In particular, a user may use an electronic mobile device (102) such as a smart phone, tablet computer, or a wearable computing device (e.g., computing glasses, smart watches) to associate a touch event profile indicative of a manner in which a touch-controlled luminaire was touched (e.g., tapped, swiped, etc.) with a lighting control action. The user may then provide that association to the touch-controlled luminaire. When the touch-controlled luminaire is later touched in the same manner, it may adjust its light output in accordance with the lighting control action. Operation and commission of gesture-controlled luminaires (706) is also described herein.

A controller (116) may be operably coupled with the LED driver and the light sensor. The controller may be configured to generate the compensated signal based on the reflected light signal and an input signal (130) that represents one or more desired properties of light to be reflected from the targeted portion of the surface.

    Abstract: A system for transferring 3D video information has a transmitter (100) to broadcast a signal (104) to a receiver (110). The 3D video information includes auxiliary data for display in an overlay area on the 3D video data, like subtitles. The 3D video data has a left view and a right view arranged in a 2D frame in a main arrangement, e.g. side-by-side. An auxiliary left and right view of the auxiliary data are arranged in an auxiliary data stream according to a 2D transmission format in an auxiliary arrangement that corresponds to the main arrangement, e.g. also side-by-side. In addition, a 2D version of the auxiliary data and auxiliary disparity data indicative of the disparity to be applied to the 2D version of auxiliary data when overlayed on the left view and the right view is included in the transport stream. Advantageously the receiver may use a suitable version of the auxiliary data based on the receiver processing architecture.
