Abstract: Disclosed is a device in an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) that provides IMS services to terminating non-IP (TNIP) devices. The method includes receiving a message to register a Public User Identity (PUID) at a TNIP device at a network-based device, the TNIP device being at an E.164 routing address, establishing, in a network device accepting communications where to send sessions destined for a PUID and providing information where to send sessions, the routing address as a final destination of sessions to the PUID based on the registration and an IP address of a network device with routing functionality based on telephone numbers as immediate destinations and using information from the registration to route to the TNIP device, after providing IMS services, using the relationship between the PUID, the routing address and the IP address of the network device with routing functionality based on telephone numbers.

Abstract: A persona determination approach can be utilized to apply digital personas across multiple communications domains. A service gateway can determine whether to transfer a request for communications services to a Persona Determination Mechanism (PDM). The PDM can select a digital persona based on available information and transmit the digital persona to the service gateway. The service gateway can process the communications services based on the selected digital persona or based on the determination not to transfer the request. In some methods, the service gateway can forward the processed request to one or more network elements for further processing. Related systems are also disclosed.

The method also includes determining whether the message is associated with a meeting and, in response to determining that the message associated with the meeting, sending data related to the meeting to a platform server to enable the platform server to send an alert regarding the meeting to a second device associated with the second user.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, at a first communication service provider, a request (by a first device and including identification information associated with a particular user of a second device) to initiate a session between the first device and the second device for a multimedia service provided by a second communication service provider. The method includes determining access information associated with the second device based on the identification information and sending a call invitation to the second device to initiate the session. Accepting the call invitation causes the second device to receive the particular application (which is executable to facilitate initiation of the session) from the second communication service provider via a connection between the second device and the second communication service provider.

Abstract: A method and system for centralized control of user devices is disclosed. The method for centralized control of user devices via universal IP services registrar includes receiving a request to register a user device for a plurality of services, registering the user device for the plurality of services by creating a user settings profile for the user for each of the plurality of services, receiving data from the plurality of registered services, and transmitting received data to the user device in accordance with the user profile.

Abstract: Network servers, systems, and methods are disclosed which relate to providing a plurality of user identities or personas on a single mobile device. The mobile device has a unique address to communicate with entities on the network. The mobile device further has a plurality of telephone numbers associated with it. The usage of each telephone number may be billed to a separate account. Each telephone number further has a plurality of personas associated with it. Each persona has its own visual interface on the mobile device and a corresponding set of rules. The relationship between personas and telephone numbers, and associated rules, are stored on an application server on the network. The application server routes incoming connections to a specific persona on the single mobile device based on the plurality of rules. The rules can be edited by a user of the mobile device via an interface or via another device connected to the network.

For example, the method receives a signaling message associated with a user by an application server deployed in a communication network, and accesses a customer premise Internet Protocol (IP) Public Branch eXchange (PBX) to retrieve customer premise IP PBX based service logic and data associated with the user by the application server. The method forwards an updated signaling message by the application server to a Serving Call Session Control Function (S-CSCF) network element for completing a service feature associated with the service logic and data in the communication network.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for providing multi-homing to an aggregate endpoint device over a network are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method receives a session request directed towards a user endpoint device by a routing device. The method receives at least one Public User Identity (PUID) for the user endpoint device if the session request is for a subscriber of a service with multi-homing via an aggregate endpoint device. The method selects a route for sending the session request in accordance with the at least one PUID and a route priority information of the PUID associated with the user end point device, wherein the route with a highest priority is selected, and forwards the session request via the selected route.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for managing a user persona presented in a communication session. In response to a request from an originating user for a communication session, a persona manager for the originating user is invoked, examining request details and the nature and context of the requested communication session and selecting a persona for the user, selection of the persona being employed to indicate services associated with the communication. Similarly, in response to a request from an originating user for a communication session, a persona manager for the receiving user to whom the request is directed examines details of the request and the nature and context of the communication session and makes decisions relating to persona selection for the receiving user. The decision may involve accepting a persona indicated in the originating user's request, or selecting a different persona and creating routing a request to be routed to the receiving user.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for sharing a single data channel for multiple signaling flows destined to multiple core networks are disclosed. For example, the method receives a plurality of service requests from a plurality of corresponding service clients on a single mobile endpoint device, where each of the plurality of corresponding service clients is to be registered with a different corresponding Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network. The method establishes the single data channel to support a plurality of signaling flows associated with the plurality of service requests simultaneously, and routes each signaling message associated with the plurality of service requests to the corresponding IMS network.

Abstract: Method, device, and computer program product are provided for differentiated treatment of incoming and outgoing emails based on a network server. A server receives a query from a gateway, and the query includes information about an email received by the gateway. The server obtains rules for processing the email of the query. The server determines an identity for the email based on the rules for processing the email. The server transmits the identity to the gateway to cause the gateway to send the email having the identity to a post office server. The email having the identity is configured to cause the post office server to process the email based on the identity.
