  • Publication number: 20150070061
Abstract: In an embodiment of the invention, a dual-port negative level sensitive reset preset data retention latch contains a clocked inverter and a dual-port latch. Data is clocked through the clocked inverter when clock signal CKT goes high, CLKZ goes low, preset control signal PRE is low, rest control signal REN is high and retention control signal RET is low. The dual-port latch is configured to receive the output of the clocked inverter, a second data bit D2, the clock signals CKT and CLKZ, the retain control signals RET and RETN, the preset control signal PRE and the control signals SS and SSN. The signals CKT, CLKZ, RET, RETN, PRE, REN, SS and SSN determine whether the output of the clocked inverter or the second data bit D2 is latched in the dual-port latch. Control signals RET and RETN determine when data is stored in the dual-port latch during retention mode.

  • Patent number: 8973240
Abstract: A system and method are provided for mounting, removing and retaining brake pads in disc brakes, such as air-operated disc brakes utilized on commercial vehicles, in a manner which does not require the use of separate brake pad retaining devices while providing positive retention of the brake pad. A preferred embodiment includes a brake caliper mount having brake pad abutment surfaces having radially-oriented and lateral grooves which permit a brake pad with corresponding projections on is lateral sides to be inserted through an opening of the brake caliper into the radially-oriented grooves until the backing plate projections are aligned with the lateral groove, and advancing the brake actuator behind the brake pad to place the brake pad in an operating position in which the actuator prevents the brake pad from realigning with the radially-oriented grooves until the actuator is retracted to permit brake pad extraction.

  • Publication number: 20150060691
Abstract: A semiconductor process pump configured to mitigate losses in pump speed during operation. The semiconductor process pump may include a housing having an inlet port for receiving gas molecules therethrough, wherein a forward-most terminus of the inlet port defines an inlet face, one or more working surfaces disposed within the housing, and a mounting flange disposed on an exterior of the housing for facilitating attachment of the pump to a gas enclosure, wherein a forward-most terminus of the mounting flange defines a flange face. The flange face may be offset from the inlet face rearwardly along the housing by a distance d. Thus, when the semiconductor process pump is mounted to a wall of a gas enclosure, the housing may extend into the wall and the inlet face may be disposed within or immediately adjacent the interior of the gas enclosure.

  • Patent number: 8971329
Abstract: A multiple channel data transfer system (10) includes a source (12) that generates data packets with sequence numbers for transfer over multiple request channels (14). Data packets are transferred over the multiple request channels (14) through a network (16) to a destination (18). The destination (18) re-orders the data packets received over the multiple request channels (14) into a proper sequence in response to the sequence numbers to facilitate data processing. The destination (18) provides appropriate reply packets to the source (12) over multiple response channels (20) to control the flow of data packets from the source (12).

  • Patent number: 8972037
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring product through a batch manufacturing plant is provided. The system includes, a parallel flow mode when product flows concurrently from at least two units to a single unit; and a serial flow mode where product flows from one unit to another at a given time, wherein the batch manufacturing plant is modeled based on the parallel and serial flow modes. A lot association is built based on product flow and a parent/child record is created for lot association. The system also includes a data collection system that collects phase information for every unit and a procedure identifier is used to create a batch identifier, where a batch identifier is associated with each lot on each unit through which product is flowing to and/or from at a given time.

  • Patent number: 8968816
Abstract: Visually distinct, flaked Ready-to-Eat (“R-T-E”) cereal products with varied texture and thickness are produced by forming a cereal dough and forcing the same through an extrusion die assembly including various spaced openings which establish a plurality of dough streams which are merged prior to reaching a die outlet. Directly at the die outlet, a resulting dough extrudate is sliced by a cutter unit to form dough discs which are then dried and cooled, during which the discs curl and form cereal flakes having varying textures defined, at least in part, by distinct sets of surface bumps. The number and configuration of the bumps can be altered by changing the number, shape and/or position of the various spaced openings of the die assembly, while the thicknesses of the resulting cereal flakes can be varied by just altering an operational speed of the cutter unit.
