  • Patent number: 10315971
Abstract: Systems and processes for heat recovery associated with the separation of hydrocarbon components. Two compressors are used to compress a portion of an overhead vapor stream from a fractionation column. A pressure of the liquid portion of the compressed overhead is reduced and used to recover heat from an overhead of another separation zone having a fractionation column. Once the heat has been recovered the stream is recompressed. The recovered heat may be removed from the recompressed stream in a reboiler of another fractionation column. The fractionation columns may comprise a deethanizer stripper, propane-propylene splitter, and a depropanizer column.

  • Patent number: 10313769
Abstract: Technologies for managing partially synchronized writes include a managed node. The managed node is to issue a write request to write a data block, on behalf of a workload, to multiple data storage devices connected to a network, pause execution of the workload, receive an initial acknowledgment associated with one of the multiple data storage devices, wherein the initial acknowledgement is indicative of successful storage of the data block, and resume execution of the workload after receipt of the initial acknowledgement and before receipt of subsequent acknowledgements associated with any of the other data storage devices. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 10304190
Abstract: A method for determining virtual articulation from dental scans. The method includes receiving digital 3D models of a person's maxillary and mandibular arches, and digital 3D models of a plurality of different bite poses of the arches. The digital 3D models of the maxillary and mandibular arches are registered with the bite poses to generate transforms defining spatial relationships between the arches for the bite poses. Based upon the digital 3D models and transforms, the method computes a pure rotation axis representation for each bite pose of the mandibular arch with respect to the maxillary arch. The virtual articulation can be used in making restorations or for diagnostic purposes.
