  • Patent number: 9865020
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a computer implemented system and method for automatically generating insurance policy related data. The system and method may determine a vehicle operator and generate empirical vehicle operator identity data. The system and method may further acquire empirical vehicle operation data related to the actual vehicle operator, and correlate the empirical vehicle operator identity data and the empirical vehicle operation data to generate vehicle insurance policy related data. The system and method may further include processing one or more insurance options, including underwriting and pricing, based at least in part on the vehicle insurance policy related data.

  • Publication number: 20180005377
Abstract: A method for determining virtual articulation from dental scans. The method includes receiving digital 3D models of a person's maxillary and mandibular arches, and digital 3D models of a plurality of different bite poses of the arches. The digital 3D models of the maxillary and mandibular arches are registered with the bite poses to generate transforms defining spatial relationships between the arches for the bite poses. Based upon the digital 3D models and transforms, the method computes a pure rotation axis representation for each bite pose of the mandibular arch with respect to the maxillary arch. The virtual articulation can be used in making restorations or for diagnostic purposes.

  • Patent number: 9855094
Abstract: A system for providing irrigation fluid during ablation of tissue includes a catheter, an electrode assembly, at least one thermal sensor adapted to be connected to the catheter, and a control system. The electrode assembly is adapted to be connected to an ablation generator. The thermal sensor is adapted to be operatively connected to an electronic control unit (ECU). The ECU receives as an input temperature measurement data from the thermal sensor; determines a power delivery rate value for the ablation generator responsive to the temperature measurement data; and outputs the power delivery rate value. The control system also delivers irrigation fluid to the irrigated catheter at a first flow rate in a first time period and at a second flow rate in a second time period that is temporally after the first time period. The second flow rate is at least half of the first flow rate.

  • Publication number: 20170364825
Abstract: Techniques are described for adaptive and augmented decision making by an artificial intelligence (AI) engine, such as an engine that employs machine learning techniques. A decision-making process may be executed to make a decision regarding operations of the organization, and the AI engine may be employed to analyze the various aspects of a decision and determine a risk level associated with the decision. The risk level may be a combination of the probability of a negative outcome and a magnitude of loss that may occur due to a negative outcome. The automated process may also determine a confidence level that indicates a degree of confidence in the determined risk level. Risk and confidence may be independent values. Implementations may enable risk mitigation by providing a risk estimate with higher confidence than traditional methods.

  • Publication number: 20170364934
Abstract: Techniques are described for iteratively adjusting data processing decision results in accordance with rules. In some implementations, the applied rules may be data ethics rules associated with particular demographic groups, such as users in a particular geographic location, users in a particular age range, and so forth. The rules may describe the manner in which data, such as data that describes or identifies individuals, is collected, stored, analyzed, applied, manipulated, and/or destroyed. The various stages of data handling may be described as a data supply chain, and a set of rules may apply to the handling of data at one or more stages of the data supply chain. The rules may enforce data privacy considerations and/or other types of constraints on data handling.
