  • Patent number: 11250526
Abstract: System, method, and a computer program product that generate a dynamic digital contract are provided. A category that is included in the digital contract is selected using a graphical user interface of an application executing on a client device. A template associated with the category is retrieved from memory storage. The template is also associated with a plurality of options that specify the layout of the digital contract, display text of the digital contract and receive additional input. Data associated with the template is retrieved. The digital contract is generated by incorporating the data into the plurality of options. The digital contract is then formatted using parameters of the client device. Once generated, the digital contract is displayed on the display screen of the client device.

  • Publication number: 20220015335
Abstract: An ant moat for use with a hummingbird feeder and an ant-resistant hummingbird assembly are provided. The ant moat includes a reservoir body having a base and at least one sidewall that together define a cup or container having a fluid holding region with an open top. The sidewall of the reservoir body includes a water level indicator and an oil level indicator that is positioned above the water level indicator. In use, water is added to the reservoir body up to the water level indicator, and then a layer of oil is added, on top of the water, up to the oil level indicator. The oil acts to prevent the water from evaporating which extends the time period over which the moat can effectively prevent ants from reaching the nectar access apertures in the hummingbird feeder.

  • Patent number: 11202264
Abstract: Some techniques and apparatuses described herein protect components of a user equipment (UE), such as a low noise amplifier (LNA), from internal interference. For example, the LNA may be disconnected from a receive chain during periods of high internal interference, and may be reconnected to the receive chain during periods of low internal interference. Furthermore, some techniques and apparatuses described herein improve performance by adjusting operations of the UE to account for and/or offset increased internal interference due to a receive chain that does not include a surface acoustic wave (SAW) filter to remove unwanted radio frequency signals. For example, one or more operations of a baseband processor may be modified to account for the increased internal interference. Additionally, or alternatively, reporting of channel state information may be modified to account for increased internal interference of the UE. Additional details are described herein.

  • Patent number: 11195396
Abstract: Personal portable items are subject to potential loss or misplacement by their owners or authorized users. A system and method is operative with personal portable items which are locally associated with a processor, memory, and sensors (either built-in or via attached sensing device). The memory stores environmental parameters which indicate a potential chance or possibility that an item may be lost, stolen, or misplaced in the near-term, proximate future. The stored parameters are customized to the historical or expected uses of the portable item by a particular user or owner in particular, user-specific contexts. The sensors sense the environment of the portable item in real-time. If the sensed environment or sensed item usage matches the environmental parameters which indicate risk of loss or misplacement, an alert element signals the portable item's user, enabling the user to take anticipatory action to prevent item loss.

  • Publication number: 20210315459
Abstract: An optical analysis of saliva or a fluid-saliva mix obtained during or after an oral care action is performed in order to check whether the saliva or fluid-saliva mix contains blood, which allows for determining whether or not a person may suffer from gingivitis or another condition affecting gum health. In particular, light received from a representative sample (23) containing saliva is detected and analyzed. The analysis involves determination of measurement values of light received by a light-receiving unit (25) for one or more main wavelengths of the light and one or more auxiliary wavelengths of the light. Advantageously, the main wavelength(s) is/are associated with high hemoglobin absorption and the auxiliary wavelength(s) is/are associated with low hemoglobin absorption. A measurement value at an auxiliary wavelength is used for correcting a measurement value at as main wavelength for background influences.

  • Publication number: 20210317058
Abstract: Hydroxyacetal or hydroxyketal monomers, processes for their preparation, their use to produce degradable polymers, hydroxy-functional intermediates resulting from degradation, and repurposed polymers made from the hydroxy-functional intermediates are described. The invention avoids the energy-intensive conditions normally used to degrade polyurethanes and generates new hydroxy-functional intermediates that can be repurposed or upcycled. Polyurethanes and melamines, materials once destined for a landfill, can have a second life. Incorporation of a photoacid generator into microcapsule core materials and fabrication of the shell from the hydroxy-functional acetal or ketal monomers promotes facile, inside-out, solid-state degradation of the microcapsule shell triggered by UV light and acid generation in a hydrophobic environment. This enables controlled release of flavors, fragrances, biocides, agricultural actives, or other oil-based beneficial agents from within the microcapsules.
