  • Patent number: 12133686
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are presented for non-contact in-vivo measurement of one or more properties of a cornea or tear film with spatial resolution. In certain embodiments the cornea/tear film is probed at substantially normal incidence with a converging array of beamlets from a multi-wavelength optical source, and the reflected light analysed interferometrically to generate a time sequence of pachymetry maps. Thickness variations arising from differences between the external and intraocular pressure, e.g. from the ocular pulse or externally applied pressure changes, are measured and analysed to obtain information on a biomechanical response of the cornea. In preferred embodiments the time variation in tear film thickness is measured and subtracted to yield normalised pachymetry data for the biomechanical analysis. In certain embodiments the apparatus is configured to measure the dynamics and profile of the tear film, using either converging or substantially parallel arrays of beamlets.

  • Patent number: 12135752
Abstract: In general, the subject matter described in this disclosure can be embodied in methods, systems, and program products for linking to a search result. A computing system receives a query and provides, to a first computing device, multiple results that are responsive to the query. The computing system provides, to the first computing device, information that identifies a web address of a user selected result of multiple results that are responsive to query. The computing system receives a request from a second computing device for content responsive to the web address of the user selected result. The computing system provides, to the second computing device, information to cause the second computing device to present the multiple results that are responsive to the query in distinction to the user selected result, responsive to the second computing device not being authorized to access the user selected result.

  • Patent number: 12122342
Abstract: A system for multiple brakes intelligently controlled by a single brake input on a personal mobility vehicle. By determining a front and rear brake differential based on the position and weight of the rider as well as the environmental and vehicle conditions, the system may reduce the risk of the vehicle skidding or tipping due to over-braking. In some embodiments, a rider may use a single brake lever to indicate a desire to brake and the system may make determinations about how to apply a combination of mechanical and electrical brakes to front and back wheels. By applying different braking systems based on a combination of controls and sensors, the system may improve user experience and user safety, especially for inexperienced riders.

  • Patent number: 12123672
Abstract: A rifle actuation mechanism is provided for alternately positioning a rifle between stowage within a cylindrical tube having a longitudinal axis and deployment for engaging a target. The mechanism includes a cradle, a yoke, and longitudinal, elevation and azimuth actuators. The cradle holds and fires the rifle. The yoke connects to the cradle. The longitudinal actuator translates the yoke along the axis. The elevation actuator pivots the cradle from the yoke. The azimuth actuator turns the cradle about the axis for pointing to the target. The tube contains the rifle, the cradle, the yoke and the actuators while in stowage. In preferred embodiments, the axis is substantially vertical.

  • Publication number: 20240344819
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are presented for spectral domain optical imaging, in particular for single shot 3-D spectral domain imaging of the retina or angio-OCT applications, using an extended illumination field comprising a plurality of linearly displaced combs of wavelengths selected from across the light source bandwidth. This allows recovery of phase and amplitude information at many times the Nyquist depth, without the loss of optical power that would be incurred by traditional wavelength comb generators such as etalons. Spatially incoherent or partially spatially incoherent light sources can be used in certain embodiments. In certain embodiments a temporally modulated angular component is imposed on a short axis of the extended illumination field. In preferred embodiments light reflected or scattered from the object is sparsely sampled in the far field, e.g. at a Fourier plane, in a dimension perpendicular to the long axis of the extended illumination field.

  • Publication number: 20240331483
Abstract: Air is pressurized in a pressurized security apparatus which surrounds a housing for a safe of a media recycler/dispenser or a housing for the media recycler/dispenser. Air pressure is monitored for the pressurized security apparatus. Air pressure that drops below a configured amount causes a security event to be sent to a security system as an indication that the safe and/or recycler/dispenser has been tampered with by unauthorized individuals. The security system initiates security actions that can include dispatching authorities to a location associated with the recycler/dispenser.

  • Publication number: 20240320938
Abstract: A room manager can generate mappings for a real-world room that support a shared XR environment. For example, the real-world room can include real-world objects and surfaces, such as a table(s), chair(s), wall(s), door(s), window(s), etc. The room manager can generate XR object definitions based on information received about the real-world room, object(s), and surface(s). For example, the room manager can implement a flow that guides a user equipped with an XR system to provide information for the XR object definitions, such as real-world surfaces that map to the XR object(s), borders (e.g., measured using a component of the XR system), such as borders on real-world surfaces, semantic information (e.g., number of seat assignments at an XR table, size of XR objects, etc.), and other suitable information. Implementations generate previews of the shared XR environment, such as a local preview and a remote preview.
