  • Publication number: 20110018768
Abstract: It is described an open-loop transmit coil diversity scheme, intended for communication based on magnetic induction, wherein the diversity scheme automatically aligns the transmit coil (110) of a transmitter (100) with the receive coil of a receiver without relying on feedback information from the receiver to the transmitter (100). This may be achieved by having a plurality of coils (110, 120, 130) in the transmitter (100) and/or in the receiver. Each of these coils (110, 120, 130) may be oriented orthogonally with respect to the other coil(s). The optimal coil (130) may be selected by measuring the position angle of the transmitter (100) and/or the receiver by making use of at least one inclinometer (132). For radio communication on the transmitter and/or on the receiver this coil (130) is selected, whose orientation is maximally parallel with the orientation of the corresponding coil on the other side of the radio communication link.

  • Publication number: 20110019388
Abstract: A solar cell simulator that is cylindrically symmetrical to test photovoltaic devices that are flexible. A particular embodiment would be made from plexiglass or similar acrylic material. The present invention produces a spectrum that simulates the spectral distribution of solar light that we observe on the Earth's surface. The simulator would be comprised of a tubular pulsed light source, a pulsed power supply, a tubular light spectrum filter, an IV electrical measurement station, a cylinder-shaped module holder to place the flexible large-area module during the measurement. All cylinders share the same central axis. This maintains radial uniformity of all light intensity and can be used for electrical measurements (IV curves under illumination) of flexible large-area PV modules.

  • Publication number: 20110002757
Abstract: The implement has a main square frame that attaches to a front end loader on a tractor. The implement has an arm that protrudes out 41? from the top of the frame. The arm has a 9? head that has two 12? teeth protruding downward. The teeth are 11? apart a hydraulic cylinder attaches to the main frame. The cylinder moves the arm up and down. The hydraulic cylinder hoses will hook into the back of the tractor's hydraulic system, this allows the operator to maneuver the implement using the hydraulic controls inside the cab. • Patent number: 7861394
Abstract: A method for making a composite tubular structure, such as the inner skin of an acoustic liner, includes providing a tool that is adjustable between a molding position and a non-molding position. The tool has a base on which are mounted a plurality of sectors, each sector having an outer panel provided with a predetermined shaped surface. The predetermined shaped surface corresponds to a portion of the contour of the tubular structure to be formed. At least one of the sectors is fixed relative to the base while the remaining sectors are movable in a radial direction and separable from all the other sectors. The method includes adjusting the movable sectors until the tool is in the molding position, applying composite material on an outer surface of each sector, curing the composite material to form an inner skin, and removing the inner skin from the outer surface. The thus-formed composite tubular structure may be remounted on the tool for bonding to additional exterior layers.

  • Patent number: 7863958
Abstract: A clock signal duty cycle adjustment circuit includes a duty cycle correction circuit that receives a clock input signal that may need duty cycle correction. The duty cycle correction circuit may derive first and second differential clock signals from the clock input signal. The first and second differential clock signals may exhibit respective voltage offsets. The duty cycle correction circuit includes a voltage offset shift circuit that may shift the voltage offset that one of the first and second differential clock signals exhibits to adjust the effective duty cycle of a clock output signal. The duty cycle adjustment circuit derives the clock output signal from the voltage offset adjusted first and second differential clock signals in response to a duty cycle error signal.
