  • Patent number: 6622333
Abstract: In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention a pneumatic-operated toothbrush incorporates a pump that a user may utilize to pump are into and pressurize air in a reservoir. The reservoir is attached to a pneumatic motor, which utilizes the pressurized air inside the reservoir to rotate a drive shaft. Attached to the end of the drive shaft is a plurality of bristles that rotate when the drive shaft is rotating. The motor will continue to rotate the bristles as long as the pressure inside the reservoir is sufficient enough to force the air into the pneumatic motor. When the motor stops rotating the bristles, the user can pump air back inside the reservoir for continued use. It is important to note that the pneumatic toothbrush for the present invention is a self-contained device, meaning that the reservoir, motor and pump are incorporated into a single toothbrush. In addition the present invention does not use batteries or other electrical elements to power the motor.

  • Patent number: 6592422
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention there is provided a toy figure in combination with a toy megaphone. The toy figure includes a circuit board to store pre-programmed audio outputs having different volume levels and a speaker to emit the pre-programmed audio outputs. The toy figure also includes a switch to activate the emitting of an audio output with a first volume level, as well as a sensor that when activated triggers the toy figure to emit a second audio output with a second volume level that is different than the first volume level. The toy megaphone has the ability to activate the sensor such that the toy figure emits the second audio output. When the toy figure is activated through the switch, the toy figure will emit the first audio output with a first volume level until the toy megaphone comes in proximity to the sensor in the toy figure, at which point the toy figure will emit the second pre-programmed audio output that has a second volume level different from the first volume level.

  • Patent number: 6582330
Abstract: The electronic football of the present invention is capable of calculating various throwing statistics. The electronic football includes a start switch in communication with a timer means that starts when the start switch is released approximately simultaneously when the football is thrown. Upon impact, an impact switch triggers the timer to stop, thereby providing the total flight time. The electronic football further includes a pressure sensor positioned in an opening in the forward section of the football for measuring the air pressure when the football is thrown. The pressure readings are received by a microprocessor, which calculates the various throwing statistics. The throwing statistics may further be displayed on a display screen or emitted through a speaker.

  • Patent number: 6579143
Abstract: There is provided in one embodiment a twisting figure that includes a head and body having a pair of arms and a lower leg section separately extending therefrom. A housing formed in the body contains a motor secured between a pair of horizontal plates. The plates are pivotally secured to the lower leg section. A combo gear is secured to the upper plate and in communication with the motor. The combo gear is arranged to reciprocate against a bumper that is secured to the lower leg section. When the combo gear reciprocates against the bumper, the pair of plates pivots back and forth causing the twisting figure to move therewith. The figure may also include a worm gear in communication with the motor and the pair of arms, such that when the motor rotates the pair of arms move upwardly or downwardly.

  • Patent number: 6579142
Abstract: A yo-yo includes a pair of body halves connected to a hub assembly about an axis of rotation. Each body half includes an outer ring positioned between an outside plate and an inside plate, where the inside plate on each body half is positioned to face the hub assembly. The outer ring has an annular projection extending inwardly along an interior surface, and has a lip defined along one edge of the outer ring. The outside plate and inside plate includes grooves that when assembled inside the outer ring form an annular opening about the annular projection. The outside plate also includes a notch defined along one edge of the outside plate and positioned to receive the lip of the outer ring when the outside plate is positioned within the outer ring. The inside plate further has a recess positioned on a surface that faces the hub assembly.

  • Patent number: 6561867
Abstract: A yo-yo includes an outer ring, a support arm extending inwardly from the outer ring and a disc supported within the outer ring by the support arm. In addition, a region on the outer ring adjacent the support arm is thinner then another region on the outer ring opposite the support arm to compensate for any additional weight defined by the support arm. Furthermore, the outer ring is defined as having a cavity and the disc has an overall shape smaller then the cavity such that the disc appears to be suspended within the outer ring.

  • Patent number: 6478654
Abstract: A collision course including at least two vertically stacked looping track sections, each looping track section starts at a beginning area that connects to an upwardly extending curved section that peaks at an apex and then travels along a downwardly extending curved section. In order to stack the looping track sections vertically each looping track section is unsymmetrical. The downwardly extending curved sections feed into the beginning areas of the succeeding looping track section, and the downwardly extending curved section of the last (or third) looping track section feeds into the beginning area of the first looping track section. Each looping track section further intersects with another looping track section to define junctions. Gaps formed in each intersecting track section permit a vehicle to travel through the intersection unobstructively.

  • Patent number: 6461238
Abstract: The present invention describes a portable simulation game apparatus that permits a user operating the game apparatus to move or control a three dimensional object. The movement or current position of the three dimensional object is sensed by a plurality of sensors and transmitted to a circuit board or a control means. The control means may then relate the movement or position of the three dimensional object to pre-programmed images displayed in front of the three dimensional object, on a display means. Typically, the pre-programmed images being displayed represent a race or a track for which the three dimensional object, being a vehicle, may interact therewith. To move the three dimensional object, the user tilts or moves the game apparatus in a specific direction the user wants the object to move.

  • Patent number: 6435936
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, there is provided an interactive posable toy that when positioned in various configurations, emits electronic sounds and/or produces motions indicative of such configurations. The posable toy includes a head pivotally attached to an upper torso. The upper torso is also pivotally attached to a mid-section, which is further pivotally attached to a lower torso. The arms and legs of the posable toy are pivotally and/or rotatably attached to the upper torso and lower torso, via shoulder and hip joints, respectively. The posable toy also includes a motor coupled a pair of cams. When activated, one of the cams laterally rocks the upper torso while the other cam tilts the mid-section relative to the lower torso. Positioned within each joint are means for triggering responses to specific positions of the arms and legs. A PC board is coupled to the triggering means as well as a power source, the motor and a speaker unit.

  • Patent number: 6398613
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a toy that includes a pump permanently attached thereto. More specifically, the toy vehicle includes a pump permanently secured to the vehicle and a motor mechanism that is charged or energized by pumping the pump. The vehicle may also include front and rear axle housings that are rotatably attached to the vehicle frame such that the front and rear axle housings may separately move upwardly and downwardly in relation to the vehicle frame. Shocks, which are attached to the front and rear axle/gear housings and the vehicle frame, normally bias the axle/gear housings away from the vehicle frame, providing the vehicle with an all terrain driving configuration. In addition, the axle/gear housings may be secured separately to the vehicle frame, thereby providing the vehicle with driving configurations that may be more suitable for other types of terrains.
