  • Patent number: 8171544
Abstract: A method and system for preventing, auditing and trending unauthorized traffic in a network system is provided. The unauthorized traffic is detected at the router level. An attacker transmits an attack vector to the network system. The attack vector is detected at the router and signatures are created for network system resources, wherein each signature represents the response of a network system resource to the attack vector. Signatures are created by learning how the attack is taking place within the network system. Network system resources corresponding to the signatures are then emulated, thereby protecting the network device.

  • Patent number: 8155588
Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and systems are disclosed for pairing a first wireless device with a second wireless device and establishing an identifier. The first wireless device transmits to the second wireless device from the first wireless device with the identifier. The first wireless device shares the identifier with a third wireless device. This allows the third device to transmit to the second wireless device appearing as the first wireless device. The first wireless device stops transmitting while the third wireless device transmits. Since the third wireless device used the identifier for the first wireless device, the second wireless device believes is communicating with the first wireless device.

  • Patent number: 8112547
Abstract: A method for increasing the capacity of a connection table in a firewall accelerator by means of mapping packets in one session with some common security actions into one table entry. For each of five Network Address Translation (NAT) configurations, a hash function is specified. The hash function takes into account which of four possible arrival types a packet at a firewall accelerator may have. • Publication number: 20110283071
Abstract: In a digital system with a processor coupled to a paged memory system, the memory system may be dynamically configured using a memory compaction manager in order to allow portions of the memory to be placed in a low power mode. As applications are executed by the processor, program instructions are copied from a non-volatile memory coupled to the processor into pages of the paged memory system under control of an operating system. Pages in the paged memory system that are not being used by the processor are periodically identified. The paged memory system is compacted by copying pages that are being used by the processor from a second region of the paged memory into a first region of the paged memory. The second region may be placed in a low power mode when it contains no pages that are being used by the processor.
