  • Publication number: 20180289416
Abstract: A method and system of providing therapy to a patient's uterus is provided, which can include any number of features. The method can include the steps of inserting a uterine device into the uterus and performing a uterine integrity test to determine that the uterus is intact and not perforated. If it is determined that the uterus is not perforated, a patency test can be performed to determine that the uterine device is not clogged or embedded in tissue. If the uterus is intact and the device is not clogged or embedded in tissue, the uterus can be treated with the uterine device, e.g., uterine ablation. • Patent number: 10096027
Abstract: A method of authorizing a debit transaction involves a server receiving from a debit terminal a message requesting authorization for a debit transaction. The message includes a credential provided by a payment token interfaced with the debit terminal. The credential is uniquely associated with the token. The server is in communication with a payment definition database that associates a plurality of payment credentials each with a respective financial account and a default payment amount. The server determines the financial account and the default amount by querying the database with the received credential. Particulars of the determined financial account and default amount are indeterminable from only the credential. The server authenticates the message and facilitates a debit in the default amount from the financial account. The server performs the receiving, determining, authenticating and facilitating all without confirmation of authentication of a bearer of the token.

  • Publication number: 20180280784
Abstract: A physical therapy management system including a motion sensor mounted to a user's leg brace to sense and wirelessly transmit movement of the leg when the user is performing a prescribed exercise therapy routine. An app on the user's computing device receives the sensor motion data and compares the patient's exercise performance to the patient's therapy prescription. Real-time animation of the user's performance is shown on the user's computing device along with exercise guidance. The user may view general and custom videos of exercise routines on the user's computing device. A health care practitioner stores the user's prescription, a list of pre-recorded video therapy exercise files, custom exercise files and the order in which the exercises are to performed under the prescription.

Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for targeted attack protection using predictive sandboxing. In exemplary embodiments, a method includes retrieving a URL from a message of a user and performing a preliminary determination to see if the URL can be discarded if it is not a candidate for sandboxing. The exemplary method includes computing a plurality of selection criteria factors for the URL if the URL passes the preliminary determination, each selection criteria factor having a respective factor threshold. The method can further include determining if any of the selection criteria factors for the URL exceeds the respective factor threshold for the respective selection criteria factor. Based on the determining, if any of the selection criteria factors exceeds the factor threshold for the selection criteria factor, the exemplary method includes automatically placing the URL in a sandbox for analysis.

  • Patent number: 10072997
Abstract: An apparatus for an imbalance test includes a strain measurement module that measures a strain voltage across terminals of a strain gauge. The strain voltage is representative of an amount of force on the strain gauge. The apparatus includes a test measurement module that measures a test voltage across the terminals of the strain gauge while a test resistor is connected in parallel with a resistor of the strain gauge. The test resistor is connected while the test measurement module measures the test voltage and is disconnected while the strain module measures strain voltage. The apparatus includes an average module that calculates an average strain voltage from two strain voltage measurements. The strain voltages are measured preceding and after the test voltage measurement. The apparatus includes a difference module that determines a difference voltage. • Patent number: 10022812
Abstract: A method of machining a work-piece formed of titanium-based material, using a machining apparatus, is described. The method includes the steps of providing an electrically-conductive electrode contained within a spindle assembly, in a pre-selected distance and position relative to the titanium-based work-piece; while electrically powering the electrode and the work-piece with a power supply. In the process, fluid electrolyte is circulated through at least two pathways in the machining apparatus—an internal conduit within the spindle assembly; and an external conduit. The charged electrode is moved relative to the work-piece in a plunging motion, to remove material from the work-piece at a relatively high rate, using a high-speed electro-erosion (HSEE) process.

  • Patent number: 10024099
Abstract: A draft guard balancer is provided that attaches to, or is otherwise mechanically coupled to, or an integral part of, an existing balance shoe or balancer for a fenestration product such as a double hung window. The draft guard balancer creates a weatherstop along the track of the fenestration product that resists air, water, dirt, dust, pollen, and insects from entering the track and then the building. The draft guard balancer may be used with a balancer having a variety of springs, spring assemblies, balancer shoes and pivot bar arrangements. The draft guard balancer creates a seal that also prevents the increased friction that results from dirt and debris entering the track, thus making for a more energy efficient, easier to operate fenestration product. The draft guard balancer is equally applicable to both top and bottom sashes of a double hung window as well as other fenestration products.

  • Publication number: 20180191269
Abstract: A power converter for converting direct current (DC) power to alternating current (AC) power includes a first power converter section and a second power converter section connected in parallel with the first power converter section. A power rating of the first power converter section is substantially greater than a power rating of the second power converter section. A controller is operatively coupled to the first power converter section and the second power converter section, the controller configured to enable at least the first power controller section when a power demand placed on the power converter exceeds a prescribed power level, and disable the first power controller and enable the second power controller section when the power demand placed on the power converter is below the prescribed power level. An advantage of the power converter in accordance with the present disclosure is that it minimizes parasitic losses associated with larger power sections of the converter.
