  • Publication number: 20240279533
Abstract: A method of the invention prepares a hydrocarbon-bearing formation for stimulation. A bottom hole assembly comprising a plug and a perforation tool connected to a wireline is lowered into the wellbore. Acid is injected into the wellbore such that the acid is in direct contact with the perforation tool, wireline and casing of the wellbore. The plug is positioned downhole beyond a location where a first perforation area is to be made in the casing. The perforation tool is activated creating the first perforation area. The acid then contacts the first perforation area and cementitious debris generated from the casing being perforated. The perforation tool is next moved up-hole to a second location and the casing is again perforated to create a second perforation area. The acid also contacts the second perforated area and cementitious debris generated from the perforated casing. The perforation tool is lastly removed from the wellbore.

  • Publication number: 20240254383
Abstract: A method of the invention prepares a hydrocarbon-bearing formation for stimulation. A bottom hole assembly comprising a plug and a perforation tool connected to a wireline is lowered into a wellbore having a casing. An acidic composition is injected into the wellbore; wherein a spacer separates the acidic composition from said bottom hole assembly, but the acidic composition is in direct contact with both the wireline and casing. The spacer may be existing water in the wellbore or water injected into the wellbore.

  • Publication number: 20240060864
Abstract: Described herein are devices and methods for flash freezing samples while applying an in situ electrical current or bias. Advantageously, the present application is directed towards materials, such as batteries or electrochemical cells, where applying an electrical current or bias leads to dynamic changes to the structure and chemistry of constituent materials, which underpin device performance and degradation. By concurrently applying electrical current or bias and flash freezing the sample, transient structures in the anode, cathode, or electrolyte can be observed with a high degree of temporal resolution at an atomic scale.

  • Patent number: 11799626
Abstract: A method and apparatus in which a data stream generated by a previous network node, a cumulative phase offset report (CPOR) and a client rate report (CRR) are received. A counter accumulating a PHY-scaled stream clock (IPSCk) is sampled at a nominal sampling period (Tps) to obtain a cumulative PHY-scaled count (CPSC). A PHY-scaled stream phase offset (PSPO) is calculated that indicates phase difference between a PHY-scaled stream nominal bit count (LPSD) and an incoming PHY-scaled count delta (IPSD), where IPSD indicates CPSC increment between successive CPSC samples. The data stream is demultiplexed to obtain CBR carrier streams that include a previous network node CPOR (CPOR-P) and a previous network node CPO (CPO-P). A CPO is calculated that is a function of CPO-P and the PSPO. CPO-P is replaced with the calculated CPO. The CBR carrier streams are multiplexed into intermediate-network-node data streams that are transmitted from the intermediate-network-node.
