  • Patent number: 10810133
Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for an address translation circuit for a memory controller. In various implementations, the address translation circuit includes an address translation table operable to include a subset of address translations for a processor memory. An address translation memory can include all address translations for the processor memory. The address translation circuit can be operable to receive an input address for a transaction to processor memory. The address translation circuit can determine an index for the address translation table by inputting the input address into a hash function. The address translation circuit can read a row from the address translation table using the index. The address translation circuit can determine whether an entry in the row includes an address translation for the input address. The address translation can generate and output a translated address using the address translation.

  • Publication number: 20200282634
Abstract: An automated wrapping system for wrapping a substrate with a material includes a support and a nest mounted to the support that is configured to position the material between an outer portion of the substrate and the nest. The automated wrapping system also includes a material folding assembly positioned adjacent to the nest configured for movement between a rest position and an actuated position, wherein the movement of the material folding system to the actuated position engages and folds the free end portion of the material over the edge of the substrate and onto a part of the inner portion of the substrate while retaining the material against the edge of the substrate. An actuator connected to the material folding assembly moves the material folding assembly between the rest position and the actuated position.

  • Patent number: 10762137
Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for an integrated circuit comprising a search engine, which a memory controller can use to manage a page table. In various implementations, the search engine can generate a series of read transactions to read the page table, which is stored in a memory. Each page table entry includes an address translation for processor memory. The memory controller may periodically change the address translations. The search engine can further determine whether data read from an entry in the page table corresponds to a search parameter. The search engine can further output a response, where the response is affirmative when the data read from the entry corresponds to the search parameters, and where the response is negative when no data read from any entry corresponds to the search parameter.

  • Publication number: 20200140066
Abstract: A breakaway support configured to selectively release an actuator from a fitting and a method of providing the breakaway support. The breakaway support includes a race positioned between the actuator and the fitting. The second end of the actuator is connected to the fitting via a ball joint is positioned within the race. The ball joint permits the actuator to pivot about the ball joint in a vertical plane between a first position and a second position. The breakaway support includes a first knuckle that causes the actuator to release from the fitting when the actuator moves in a first direction beyond the first position. A portion of the fitting or a second knuckle may cause the actuator to release from the fitting when the actuator moves in a second direction beyond the second position. A portion of the actuator may break to release the actuator from the fitting.

  • Patent number: 10642727
Abstract: A microcontroller may be implanted to manage migration events performed by a separate memory controller to non-volatile memory. Migration events, such as failed writes at the memory controller or wear leveling migrations to move data from one storage location to another may be detected by the microcontroller. The destination location and the data to be migrated may be identified by the microcontroller. The microcontroller may then instruct the memory controller to copy the data to the destination location.

  • Patent number: 10593380
Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques for monitoring the performance of a storage-class memory (SCM). In some embodiments, a performance monitoring circuit at an interface between the SCM and a memory controller of the SCM receives transaction commands from the memory controller to the SCM, measures statistics associated with the transaction commands, and determines a utilization rate of the SCM based on the statistics. Based on the determined utilization rate of the SCM, future transaction requests can be optimized to improve the utilization rate of the SCM.

  • Patent number: 10576456
Abstract: Direct polymerization of lipid monomers or polymer scaffolding of non-lipid monomers coupled with irradiation or redox polymerization performed at neutral pH resulted in stabilized lipid assemblies. An initiator-buffer component and NaHS03 redox mixture polymerizes reactive lipid monomers at near neutral pH conditions to preserve functionality of reconstituted membrane proteins. Improved stability of black lipid membranes (BLMs) is attained by chemical cross-linking of polymerizable, hydrophobic and commercially available non-lipid monomers partitioned into the suspended lipid membranes, and by suspending the BLMs across low surface energy apertures. Substrate apertures having low surface energy modifiers with amphiphobic properties facilitated a reproducible formation of BLMs by promoting interactions between the lipid tail and the substrate material.
