  • Patent number: 10382131
Abstract: In some embodiments, an apparatus includes an optical transmitter module that can be electrically coupled to an electrical serializer/deserializer and a controller. The optical transmitter module can include an electrical detector that can receive an in-band signal. The electrical detector can send to the controller a first power error signal and a second power error signal based on the in-band signal. The controller can send a correction control signal to the electrical serializer/deserializer based on the first power error signal and the second power error signal such that the electrical serializer/deserializer sends a pre-emphasized signal to the optical transmitter module based on the correction control signal. In such embodiments, the first power error signal, the second power signal and the correction control signal are out-of-band signals.

Abstract: A workout bench is disclosed that has rectanguloid front and rear containers each connected with two opposing rectanguloid side containers therebetween. The front and rear containers are least partially open. Each side container is open at an outward, lateral side thereof. The containers are each flush at their top, bottom, and lateral sides. The containers each define an internal storage volume therein, with the front and rear containers accessible from their partially open top sides. The workout bench also has a benchtop pivotally fixed with the front container, with a selectively movable brace for holding the benchtop at one of a plurality of predefined angular positions with respect to the top sides of the containers. A plurality of feet project away from the bottom sides of at least two of the containers.

  • Publication number: 20190223859
Abstract: An assembly includes a flexible fixation member, a suture, and a delivery device. The fixation member includes a body with two terminal ends. A suture passes through the flexible fixation member at various points along a length of the body such that portions of the fixation member are slidable relative to the suture and configurable to form a cluster within a surgical site. The delivery device includes a tubular member, an elongated inserter, and a trigger. The elongated inserter is slidably disposed within the tubular member. The inserter has a forked distal end configured to receive a portion of the flexible fixation member and the suture. The trigger is finger-engagable and fixedly coupled to the proximal end of the inserter. It is configured to advance and retract the inserter relative to the tubular member. • Patent number: 10355389
Abstract: An electrical-terminal includes a planar blade-shaped isolator and a conductor. The planar blade-shaped isolator is formed of a dielectric material having a spine, a tip, and a web. The spine extends along a longitudinal-axis. The tip extends along a lateral-axis, and the web extends from the spine and terminates at the tip. The web defines a slot extending in the lateral direction from and normal to the spine. The conductor has a first-side that overlays a second-side and defines a U-shaped bend and a gap between the first-side and the second side. The U-shaped bend is aligned parallel to and opposite the spine. The conductor includes a conductive stand-off located intermediate the first side and the second side of the conductor. The conductive stand-off is disposed within the slot of the web such that the first-side and the second-side are in further electrical contact through the conductive stand-off.

  • Patent number: 10346142
Abstract: A computing device automatically generates an event stream processing (ESP) model to receive and process events. A mapping dataset is created from configuration and device information that includes a measurement processing description for a measurement and a measurement identifier that uniquely identifies a sensor and a device to which the sensor is associated and describe a computational process to be performed by an ESP window. An update macro is executed with an update template to create update code to parse the measurement identifier and a measurement value from the event block object. A transpose macro is executed with a transpose template to create transpose code to perform the described computational process. An ESP model is created that includes the created update code, a source window defined to execute the created update code, the created transpose code, and a transpose window defined to execute the created transpose code.

  • Patent number: 10267729
Abstract: The invention is directed to improved systems, methods, and computer readable media for detecting gas leaks. More particularly, the invention detects gas leaks or discharges, such as methane or any other suitable gases, by analyzing reflected or direct light that passes through a region of enhanced target gas concentration. The invention collects light and processes spectral data of the light. All molecules are subject to rotational motions, vibrational motions, and/or combinations thereof (rovibrational motions), in which the atoms in the molecule are vibrating with respect to each other and/or rotating around each other. When the light passes through the region of the target gas, a portion of the light with certain wavelengths will be absorbed by the target gas due to the rovibrational motions of the target gas molecules. By analyzing the magnitude of absorption at certain wavelengths, one can determine the concentration of certain target gas or gases.

  • Patent number: 10269093
Abstract: Visualization of three-dimensional data without loss of desired characteristics is enabled by receiving three-dimensional data pertaining to a physical object in the world, the physical object represented by a series of segments, the three-dimensional data including a predetermined number of measurements of the series of segments, storing the three-dimensional data in data storage and generating an average measurement value for each of the series of segments. The process further involves generating a first generalization of the three-dimensional data by selecting, for each of the series of segments, a desired number of measurements, fewer than the predetermined number of measurements, that represent the largest deviations from the respective average measurement, storing the selected measurements as the first generalization of the three-dimensional data in the data storage, and upon request, providing access to the first generalization of the three-dimensional data.

  • Patent number: 10230491
Abstract: A method for controlling data flow in a wireless body area network includes transmitting sensor data from a plurality of sensor nodes to a gateway via a first transmission channel. The method further includes transmitting beacon data from the gateway to the plurality of sensor nodes via the first transmission channel. The method also includes determining channel packet loss information of the first transmission channel based on at least one of a beacon packet loss information included in the sensor data and a sensor packet loss information included in the beacon data. The method further includes comparing the channel packet loss information with a packet loss threshold. The method also includes switching flow of the sensor data and the beacon data through a second transmission channel instead of the first transmission channel, if the channel packet loss information is greater than the packet loss threshold.

  • Publication number: 20190050039
Abstract: A computing device is provided that includes a processor, a primary power supply, and a voltage regulation module. The voltage regulation module is configured to determine a load line for the processor and monitor a voltage and a current to the processor. While monitoring the voltage and current, the voltage regulation module is further configured to regulate the voltage to the processor to trend toward a voltage setpoint defined by the load line. While regulating the voltage, the voltage regulation module is further configured to clamp the load line at a clamping voltage to limit the regulated voltage output by the voltage regulation module from falling below a predetermined device minimum operation voltage when the monitored current exceeds a device maximum current value. The voltage regulation module is further configured to output electrical power at the regulated voltage to the processor.
