  • Publication number: 20190044271
Abstract: An electrical-terminal includes a planar blade-shaped isolator and a conductor. The planar blade-shaped isolator is formed of a dielectric material having a spine, a tip, and a web. The spine extends along a longitudinal-axis. The tip extends along a lateral-axis, and the web extends from the spine and terminates at the tip. The web defines a slot extending in the lateral direction from and normal to the spine. The conductor has a first-side that overlays a second-side and defines a U-shaped bend and a gap between the first-side and the second side. The U-shaped bend is aligned parallel to and opposite the spine. The conductor includes a conductive stand-off located intermediate the first side and the second side of the conductor. The conductive stand-off is disposed within the slot of the web such that the first-side and the second-side are in further electrical contact through the conductive stand-off.

  • Patent number: 10124288
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for controlling injection of magnesium oxide (or precursor) for reducing the concentration of sulfur trioxide in combustion gases from a combustor burning vanadium and sulfur-containing fuel while operating the boiler with enhanced efficiency. In-fuel introduction is combined with mid-temperature introduction, where both can be operated effectively, are found to be of primary importance. When in-fuel introduction will not be effective due to selectivity problems, feed can be shifted to a high-temperature zone. Where the high- or mid-temperature zone cannot be fully utilized due to obstructions for injection or insufficient soot blowers to address fouling of that zone or boiler operational changes to integrate the magnesium oxide injection is insufficient, an entire or a portion of feed can be shifted to the low-temperature zones.

  • Patent number: 10121225
Abstract: Visualization of three-dimensional data without loss of desired characteristics is enabled by receiving mapping data pertaining to a physical object in the world, the physical object represented by a series of segments, the three-dimensional data including a predetermined number of measurements of the series of segments, storing the mapping data in data storage and generating an average measurement value for each of the series of segments. The process further involves generating a first generalization of the mapping data by selecting, for each of the series of segments, a desired number of measurements, fewer than the predetermined number of measurements, that represent the largest deviations from the respective average measurement, storing the selected measurements as the first generalization of the mapping data in the data storage, and upon request, providing access to the first generalization of the mapping data for use in rendering the mapping data as three-dimensional data.

  • Patent number: 10107395
Abstract: The disclosed transmission shift fork has improved contact areas that engage a gear that is shifted into and out of engagement with the drive train. As a result of the improved contact areas the gear and the shift fork have a more stable alignment that reduces wear during shifting and avoids uneven wear of the parts. The shift fork has an elongated pin that is positioned inside of a biasing spring. The pin has a length that is greater than the length of a compressed biasing spring, which contributes to increased stability and reduced wear from linear movement.
