  • Publication number: 20220083932
Abstract: An event at a location is identified. An event risk of the event can be calculated based on risk characteristics of both the location of the event (“location risk characteristics”) and the event itself (“personnel risk characteristics”). Location risk characteristics can include a visitor history of the location. Personnel risk characteristics can be based on attendees of the event, such as a number of attendees. The overall event risk, once calculated, can be compared to a threshold. Depending on the comparison, a risk mitigation policy can be implemented.

  • Patent number: 11263208
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and system for providing cross-lingual search results that retain cultural context include a processor(s) monitoring (with user permission) computing activities performed by the user, via a client. The processor(s) analyzes the computing activities to identify data comprising elements relevant to the user and relationships between the elements and the user. The processor(s) generates a data structure comprising the data. The processor(s) generates a search interface for obtaining entries in a first language to perform a query; the entries are search parameters embedded with a portion of the elements. The processor(s) obtains an entry in the first language. The processor(s) extracts the portion of the elements from the entry (cultural context for the entry). The processor(s) determines target languages for data responsive to the query. The processor(s) translates the search parameters and the cultural context into the target languages and executes searches on databases.

  • Patent number: 11229001
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure provide a way to pinpoint where a target device associated with an IP address is physically located within a geographical region. Network-communication delays between landmark devices and the target device are determined and used to generate sequences capturing relative delay relationships between the landmark devices and the target device. The sequences are used to determine a ranking via a sequence-matching approach. For each pair of landmark devices, a geographical boundary that divides the geographical region into a target partition and a second partition is determined. The target partition includes a first landmark device of the pair and the second partition includes a second landmark device of the pair. The target device is located where the target partitions for the pairs overlap. Network tomography can be applied to increase accuracy.

  • Publication number: 20210358019
Abstract: An online store offering a product that is currently unavailable can still fulfill an order for the product by querying a multi-store inventory database to see if the product is available from brick-and-mortar stores near the customer. Proximity of local stores is based on a customer location in the customer's profile. Local store selection can be based on product matching policies such as a threshold price difference for the product compared to the online store price. If the customer approves local store pickup, the service generates a voucher to purchase the product directly from the local stores, and presents it to the customer via the online presence. The customer can then redeem the voucher at any of the indicated local stores and pick up the product. When the system receives confirmation of redemption of the voucher, a credit is issued from the online store to the local store.

  • Patent number: 11175742
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide techniques for intelligent media sharing with visualized positioning layout in real time. A floor plan is retrieved corresponding to the physical location of a sender electronic device. A zone boundary corresponding to the physical location of the sender electronic device is determined. A list of potential recipient electronic devices within the zone boundary is generated. A floor plan view is rendered on the sender electronic device. A graphical representation of the potential recipient electronic devices on the floor plan view is rendered, overlaid in a semi-transparent manner with a media selection interface on the sender electronic device. A selection is received for one or more media items using the media selection interface. A send request is received for one or more potential recipients, resulting in sending the one or more media items to at least one potential recipient in response to receiving a user interface request action.

  • Patent number: 11153366
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are described for generating a customized lightweight web font corresponding to web content and providing the lightweight font to a requesting client device to enable the client device to render the web content using the customized lightweight font. The customized lightweight font only includes glyphs corresponding to those characters that appear in the web content. The file size of the lightweight web font is substantially less than the file size of the complete web font, and thus, there is substantially less latency and overhead associated with downloading the lightweight web font as compared to downloading the entire web font. A glyph demanding assessment can be performed to identify a set of characters contained in the web content such that corresponding glyphs can be extracted from the web font and used to generate the customized lightweight web font.
